Thanks to whoever decided to Tell Austin he was no chance of first grade

Justifying the decision because we've opted for moses long term doesn't make it any less of a.wrong decision…we screwed up again ..end of....despite what the apologists will have you believe

Deja Vu with Te Marie Martin. Golden boy Moses who, after almost a full season is first grade is yet to look like a first grade level 5/8, will push Martin to another club. Add that to the list of Koro, Blake and so many other promising players who have been let go by Wests Tigers in the last couple of years. If the club can afford to do this then why can't it buy any new players to at least make our team competitive? I fear that the club has an enormous financial problem it is so much trying to hide (for the next two years at least).

Apparently our captain didn't want him,for whatever reason,so no wonder he moved on.As i've posted several times he added vigour to our dull attack, the few chances he got, and blind freddy could see he had great natural instincts.
However he may just be going thru a purple patch, often happens when players change clubs,so interesting to see if he can keep it up as the rival coaches target him.Bennet put him out of business no matter where he popped up in the Raiders attack a few weeks back.

Whatever his offer was , I thought he was signed with us for another year, so it was in our power to keep him I thought so this is a fair question asked by many here…..

And to think we released Austin to go with 2 x U20s halves atm.

And on top of that we almost lost Tedesco who is our only top quality young player atm.

Its a Balmain centric mentality in which Sironen, Brooks, Moses are retained almost without question while while Austin goes along with Fifita teddy nearly lost losing time resigning Simona and Lafai and previously Hayne get picked up by other clubs.

It seems if your a Balmain junior you can almost get a life contract atm regardless of ability.
And all this talk of spiritual homes and we can't win a game there lately.
People criticised benji but for all his faults helped deliver a comp and a cult persona for the club while now we are a nothing team.

I'm going to say it again: Austin was signed AFTER Moses was re-signed. We had already committed to Moses and Brooks as long-term options.

Austin is a talent and he showed enough last year, but you can't keep a bloke on the bench just for your own option.

Had he stayed, he would have played at #14 or somewhere else random, but not #6\. Not even now would JT have switched him to #6, not unless Moses was injured.

So Austin would have stayed for 2015, played in reserves and off bench, been backup hooker at times when Farah was out, then signed with someone else for 2016.

You can't spend hundreds of thousands on your halves and then have them sitting in reserves. The salary cap just doesn't work that way, you can't buy Ferraris and leave them in the garage.

That'd be exactly WTs attitude, no matter how much of a lemon the Ferrari is, we have to go with it just so we don't look like fools for buying it.
No matter what you pay for it , a lemon is a lemon.
At times I think we must actually enjoy making stupid decisions

When you play first grade you get judged by first grade standards, Or at least should be.

Moses is not first grade standard, despite already getting more chances than most first graders would ever get.
And the fan club still waffles on about what he WILL be. .
I still hope you are right, but nothing so far says that there will be any difference in his game next year. It's called wishful thinking,.
How many more people are going to leave this club before we start being professional?

It seems though you have never bought into the Joint venture , you continue to want to bring this Wests vs Balmain trash talk of yours .
Balmain have a time frame to meet there financial obligation if they don't meet it there History . Let it rest seriously .
Then people wonder why our supporters a so dis functional .
So sick of the subject.
