Nor can you buy a lemon and expect it to perform like a ferrari.

I'll take our lemon anyday over the Raiders Ferrari thanks.

That's why we frequent the cellar of the comp, our board thinks the same way :bash

Our new Club song :roll

Someone told me this song was written about all of Hobbo's ex girlfriends

Justifying the decision because we've opted for moses long term doesn't make it any less of a.wrong decision…we screwed up again ..end of....despite what the apologists will have you believe

Well said.

Dead set a few in here will find any spin to defend the clubs or coaches decisions.

We lost a bloke who was our shining light last year, even though he was under contract.

Its a screw up like you said, and it looks worse every week with the performances of the respective players and teams involved.

Austin is a winner. WT don't want winners. They want potential. Dumbest mob ever. The only club that would put a deliverer on the field behind a kid who is not performing but might make it one day. One can only shake ones head with bewilderment.

Just scuttlebutt, possibly from Potter supporters, but Austin said himself he didn't feel wanted at the Tigers and jumped at the chance to move.
We would be a different Team with Austin & Fifita, both had raw skills that needed coaching, not shown the door.I've followed the Tigers since i was a kid at school in the 1960's,the current setup
is a mess and i think its going to take more than an independent Board to sort.

I remember going to leichhardt in the 90's and the bucket was being passed around to raise money to keep Paul Sironen .
I think it was 100k they were trying to raise …?

Differentiating between 'opinion' and "fact'' clearly not a priority on this thread. A lot of pot stirring and not much else.

And to think we released Austin to go with 2 x U20s halves atm.

And on top of that we almost lost Tedesco who is our only top quality young player atm.

Its a Balmain centric mentality in which Sironen, Brooks, Moses are retained almost without question while while Austin goes along with Fifita teddy nearly lost losing time resigning Simona and Lafai and previously Hayne get picked up by other clubs.

It seems if your a Balmain junior you can almost get a life contract atm regardless of ability.
And all this talk of spiritual homes and we can't win a game there lately.
People criticised benji but for all his faults helped deliver a comp and a cult persona for the club while now we are a nothing team.

Still beating that same tired old drum. Give it a rest, the Balmain and Wests crap is not going to fly in this thread, it's irrelevant.

This is what gets me. When mistakes are made admit it.

Richards over Koro.
Letting Austin go.
JT and his structures/tactics/game plans.
JT and his media comments.

All terrible terrible decisions/actions made within this club.

If you admit it then you can look at your mistakes and work on them. Why spin it ?

I read that interview where he said that he didn't feel wanted here, although most of the interview made it clear that he was happy with his time here.
He never said one word about Farah, or any other player at all.
I have no doubt, that he was referring to the fact that he was told , by the management/Coach that Moses was going to be the 5/8 regardless of form
As reported in the last two weeks, I think (SMH) , Drinkwater was told the same thing, and would only play because o an injury.
Not sure why some want to use Farah as the fall guy at every possible moment.
Not a conspiracy, just typical incompetency from WTs

Clubs let players go all the time only to find out a year or so down the track they made a massive mistake, but of course it works both ways, as we have picked up the odd good player that another club has released thinking they would not cut it at NRL level.

In saying that if it was only one or maybe two players you could put it down to bad luck, but when it is multiple players you have to ask some serious question. Of course their is also the argument if a player not happy why keep him as it could have a disruptive effect on the club.

The way I see it the club let go a player who had captain written all over him, a player who would give 100% every week and his only weakness, is at times he actually tries to hard. Players of his ability are as rare as rocking horse sh.t

He's had a lot to say the last the last couple of years, which as Captain is fair enough, but you can't have the players running the club, the removal of a coach(Potter) is a prime eg., along with certain players feeling they were not part of the Team.
Of course this all comes to the surface when a Team is struggling,a few wins and it all gets papered over until the next lean trot,i'm sorry but this merger has no soul.
