That penalty

Yeah saints won
.But, with the score at 4-0 up, we have the ball and get penalised for stepping off the mark due to two arrangutangs getting in the road.

Back to back tries and the game is as well as gone.

I have watched every game this weekend and not seen that infringement penalised.

It really hanked my chain at the time.

You are right about consistency - but we would be dreaming to think that would ever happen. But in truth it was a penalty and we cant really complain.

Yeh, it was a massive game turner. And so was the Gibbs penalty in the 2nd half that they scored off, they held us down worse than that and never got penalised.

That being said, they got two penalties they shouldnt have and scored both times, but when we got a penalty we shouldnt have (when Utai dropped the ball but ruled a strip), we didnt take advantage.

So its up to us to be better

Sirro this is what this team needs to overcome in order to beat teams like the Dragons. You not only play the team but you play the refs as well. It used to (and still does to an extent) happen against the Roosters and Melbourne but now it's the Dragons who cop most of the 50/50 calls. If we as a team can't overcome this, then we have no chance against the top teams. It's no longer a matter of being better than a team like the Dragons but being that much better that these calls don't affect us adversely!

Ok to say that sirro but IMO the shirnak penalty was a real turnaround and was undoubtedly bs. The horny penalty in the right corner was a professional foul and a send off IMO and we would have scored with a quick play the ball.

In saying this, however, I don't think the team played well enough to beat the dragons. Hopefully the team learned what they need to do to to beat the most boring team in the comp.

as a supporter,i only really watch how our team may be disadvantaged by refereeing calls.

Saints did appear to be doing niggling, crappy things that push the boundaries.

But this approach is obviously successful.
