1) scoring hasnt wavered which is good, averaging 28 points per game is gonna win us alot of games this year

2)we have finished off the last 20 minutes of both games which proves the fitness is there and a positive attitude is maintained throught the whole game

i think whats lacking and where we have fallen in the hole is when we start our interchange, we have cayless which IMO will come good around round 7-8 but he hasnt played alot over the last couple seasons, flanagan, has played only 10 games in ESL but seems more suited to a ball playing lock role not hit em up make metres guy and of course the good ol utility on the bench for 70 minutes a game.

I think when fulton gets back we are gonna have alot stronger bench

flanagan
payten
cayless
fafita

and that in turn will solidify us in the middle part of the game where galloway gibbs and the like go to the bench, now combine that with the 2 positives i mention and we are a force to be reckoned with

RonBurgundy…......I Agree!

Just one other thing that I just couldn't resist to write....................
"He punted baxter over the bridge cause I hit him with a burrito!!!"

And we've had a few very strong debuts.

Fifita was very impressive in his first top grade game, and Flanagan put in 110% to play the full 80mins on Sunday.

Very promising signs.

Seems we get a bit complacent after the first 20mins when we come out firing. It's all a mental thing … can't afford to sit back and relax.

Agreed. If we could keep that 20min attitude for the whole game we would be a very hard team to beat.

Fair call Ron. The Tigers have had no dramas scoring points, just watching Bonstonkers highlights reel for the first two rounds shows the Tigers looking quite dangerous in attack. What we don't see is the hole the Tigers have dug for themselves between the 20th minute and 60th minute where mistakes and penalties have ruled and the Tigers seemingly look lost in defence…

The Tigers MUST fix this if they are going to be a force this year. The coaching staff would look at a lot of video during the week to see where they are going wrong and where they can improve and surely the players know they can do better. The players shouldn't have a problem keeping their chin up when they make a mistake and should be aiming to put together a good defensive set rather than dropping their heads in disappointment.

Something clicked last year when the Tigers played the Storm at Leichardt...Hopefully something clicks tomorrow night.

have to disagree with some of the posts this year so far is smelling like every other year expect 2005 we have played 30 minutes decent footy in 2 games attack would be 8.5 defence 0 yep 0 as far as iam concerned the worst in the nrl cant tackle wont make the 8 and will end up finishing were we always do 10th 12th 9th maybe worse yeah like every other season we play a few good games here and there but thats it but the defence or lack of cost us last year and even at this early stage heading that way again parra by 20\. :frowning:

You don't think a sides defense improves throughout a Year?

They just have to do it earlier than normal…..

The Eels have played as bad as we have....they have been luckier than we have....they should be 0 and 2.....

I take it you will be wearing an Eels jersey this Friday?
