Wests Tigers Statement

When Wests Tigers met with Aaron Woods and James Tedesco’s Manager on Tuesday a deadline of 5pm Friday was set to secure certainty for the club.

That deadline has now passed and Wests Tigers is yet to receive any official confirmation from the pair’s manager.

As a result Wests Tigers has removed the current long-term contract offers that were with their Management.

Wests Tigers are proud of everything Aaron and James have achieved and will continue to achieve throughout the season at this club.

wow cant even be bothered to give a response thanks for nothing :imp:

Yep and for that the blame lays squarely on the players shoulders… they could have instructed their manager to inform the club of their decision... but obviously they didn't
:crazy

They are all class, they had every right to sign elsewhere, but to string the club along for months and than not even reply shows you something about what these two kids are all about. Rather get the spoon and have these two in our club for the remainder of the year

And don't believe the press report that is saying the players are filthy with Cleary because he backflipped on letting Moses go to the eels and because of that they turned their back on the WT…. I'm certain that story came out from their Manager

The whole thing smells of Isaac Moses!!! Good luck to all three of them. Not a single backbone in either one of them.

Aaron Woods’ coffee date with Bulldogs players highlights the deep troubles at Wests Tigers

AARON Woods’ appearance at a coffee shop on Wednesday with Sunday’s opponents, otherwise known as Canterbury players, underlines the deep troubles at Wests Tigers. Coach Ivan Cleary must be finally realising how deep the problems at his new club go. A small revolt is happening at the Tigers. Woods, James Tedesco and Mitch Moses are gone, Tim Grant and Kevin Naiqama are considering their options and several others are also questioning their future at the club.

Woods and the Skinny Flat White gang highlight how deep the frustration at the Tigers is.
While Cleary was putting deadlines on players Woods and Tedesco, Woods was speaking to his manager Isaac Moses who told him he had not heard from the club in regard to Woods in almost a month.
How is this any negotiation? And so why a deadline?

Was Cleary even aware?
The Tigers might have a plausible explanation for this but their refusal to communicate it is deeply damaging the club and adds to the reputation of dysfunction that is developing. There is a smell on the Tigers. Who would want to play there? There is more at stake than playing talent now. From the outside looking in the Tigers appear a troubled club. Once that assessment becomes popular opinion around the league it will become increasingly harder to recruit players. And the club is already clearly having problems.

Generally the only way clubs get their way out of trouble once in this situation is to go into the market hard and pay overs. Either to one player, who hopefully others want to play alongside and so will help bring talent, or a group of players, which is highly expensive. Enter Cooper Cronk, with Gareth Widdop as his sidekick. The club has no other option.

These guys could have gone to Clearly and said listen we all want to play together what do we have to do. That would have fixed this all up no problems. They also could have signed up last year.

They've had plenty of opportunities to act like professional loyal classy individuals. It's just not in their nature.

Tedesco = scum.
Woods = scum.

I like the way their names are changing but can it be upped or something. Whenever you write Tedesco make it TosserTeddy and Woods make it WankaWoods. Can we have a competition to come up with the best names ?

What a garbage article from Kent .
He never mentioned that the offers had been in the table for months .

As for Grant and Naiqama , they wouldn't get a look in at my local club to play A Grade .
They're luck they've got a gig at all :brick:

I can't believe that article from Kent. The club isn't the problem. The media should be going after the players and their scumb manager.

You are right Hobbo. Kent is a knob and I wouldnt feed ken or grant

No issue with Naiqama and Grant going, people having been calling for Kev's head all season. I'd rather promote Felise and Tatola and get rid of Grant. Those young blokes will continue to develop with the right coaching and I reckon Cleary is the bloke to get them to kick on.

Paul Kent's article makes no sense. WT have no intention of resigning Kevin Naqiama. Thats been clear for months.

Tim Grant came out just yesterday talking about loyalty and getting on bus

The problem with these gutter journalists is that the only people who feed them anything are the scum player managers, so everything is entirely agenda driven.

Both players are lowlife losers. Who have no respect for the club at all.
So glad Cleary and the club have finally ended the charade and chaos this is.
To not even have the guts to say we are leaving or to respond shows what kind of people they are.
Cleary needs to bench them for the game on Sunday and let them just sit there as player 18 and 19\. So the Croud can show their dissatisfaction

Are any of our current crop besides the weak 3 managed by Isaac Moses?? I honestly am keen to never deal with this grub again to be honest

i wouldnt be surprised if woods and tedesco arent at their managers
place right now working out some lame excuse as to why they didnt
respond to the deadline at 5pm.

Kent is such an idiot.

Firstly it's I Moses saying he's not heard from the club. Easy to straight up lie to manipulate the situation.

Secondly Moses was in Townsville and then the club confirmed they met with Moses on Tuesday.

Thirdly you are a player manager and this is business. Earn your commission and ring them or arrange a meeting.

Fourthly how can Cleary possibly not be aware of the communications, he sees the players most every day? "Hey did Kelly speak to you today?" That easy. It is a workplace after all, what does Cleary walk around only talking training and nothing else?

Fifthly how could it be possible that Tigers have two multi million dollar franchise deals on the table, for players who come in every day, but nobody is chasing up? Just not feasible. Don't say the club is hopeless, they have people who focus on recruitment and retention. Even crap HR would put a call in every now and then.

Sixthly there have been offers to these guys for months, how much follow up do they need?

This is just manager spin plus the journos own need to drum up and prolong the story.

x2

I would gladly see the back of those two. I'm all aboard Cleary's bus and positive he's going in the right direction for WT's
