THE AMBUSH - Show Your Stripes..

Thank you for all the positive feedback regarding the first event that The Ambush held on Sunday. I would like to make sure that thanks and credit is given to everyone that was involved in planning the event as there were a lot of people from here involved in getting this off the ground who weren't as visible on the day as @Tiger_Steve and I.

@geo @jirskyr and his father Jim (who I don't think is a forum member) @Celticguy97 and @kellyhollis0 were all heavily involved in making this work and will be more visible at future events. @helmesy and @Eddie were also involved and assisted with promoting the day through the Podcast. It really was a team effort.

Great effort guys. Was a really enjoyable day. Looking forward to meeting more of you at the next one!

Ambush is actually a collective noun for a group of Tigers. But I’m sure you already knew that

Maybe that is why your input wasn't sought, everyone in this group donated their valuable time to try and do something for the club, its members and supporters. Easy to throw stones when you have no skin in the game.

Mate that is exactly the aim of this, its about building connections, fan to fan and fan to club.

I remember a couple of years ago, when I offered some spare member tickets to a game at Bankwest on here. You contacted me and we met up and had a chat at the game. The exact same game I met @Tiger_Steve as well and did the same. This is what I personally see as the vision of a group like this. Its getting people together and sharing that passion we all have for the club. Allows fans to make connections and strengthen their bond to the club.

A name is a name and that doesn't have a lot of sway for me but someone on here put thought into coming up with that and it is very easy to throw stones at someone else's ideas.

What a worthwhile initiative, a big well done to everyone who helped make it happen! Being out of town it's unlikely I'll make one but very pleasing to see this type of engagement, and that the Forum is treated seriously by the club.

Just an observation, but @cochise surely the players will bring you an orange Tigers cap next time!

I'm always wearing a Tigers hat lol, would have had one on if we weren't in a club lol. People get shocked by my nude head when I remove my hat.

Mate, we are 100% open to suggestions. There is no ego in this, we are doing this to build the connection between fans and their connection to the club. The ultimate goal is increasing membership engagement with the club and an increase in membership numbers.

The way I really view this is trying to build the sense of community we have here across our fanbase and members.

The way I really view this is trying to build the sense of community we have here across our fanbase and members.

Id feel more comfortable making suggestions if I had attended, I just feel that its hard to maintain momentum in something like this so every week might be hard, plus home games people are going to be flat out getting to the game. Additionally if the club is going to contribute like they did last week providing two players, you dont want to set it up as a strain on them.

The every away game thing at Ashfield makes sense, perhaps if you have home games events is a less formal beer before the game kinda thing.

Please take my suggestion with a massive grain of salt, you guys have done a great job and I hate to input into something others are putting hte work into.
