I was in Sydney for another function and just made it to West’s Ashfield 20 minutes before the game. I sat quietly in the background observing and I must say I was very impressed with the event and the organisers. If you get the chance do yourself a favour and go to one of these events.

Thanks for all the feedback..The next event will be v Cowboys at Leichhardt..this will be a Wests Tigers promotion to be held at the Sackville Hotel..more details to follow..

The next Ambush will be Round 9 home game v Gold Coast at Campbelltown..venue Wests Campbelltown..

Must of been a good 1...


It was very good. Especially with the win in the end. Everyone rode every play, the atmosphere was great. Pretty much like at the game.

A big thank you to those that organised it, and the club, and the players (Walters & Blore) who attended. It was a good event.

Thanks mate, I thought it went really well and it was very good to meet you briefly. If you make it to another of the events come over and watch the game with us.

I would’ve gone if I knew Billy Gibbons from ZZ top was going to be there ?

I thought I would provide a bit of an update on yesterday for those interested. Billy and Shawn arrived at 2.30pm (weren't meant to be there until 3.00pm) They were very engaging and chatted and mingled with Wests Tigers supporters that had already arrived.

Just after 3.00pm we had our chat with Shawn and Billy which lasted for over 20 mins on stage answering a range of questions about their background in Rugby League, career highlights, Madge's coaching style, Tamou as a leader, the poor start to the season, key areas of the upcoming game etc. They were very engaging, funny and gave very detailed responses that went beyond your standard answers. Shawn is definitely a future leader of our club.

After the onstage section of the afternoon was over both players went back to mingling and chatting with people in attendance.

During the halftime break Shawn and Billy returned to the stage to discuss the first half and what the team needed to do to get away with the win.

Overall it was a really good day, Billy and Shawn were hugely impressive and spent 2 and a half hours with us which was very generous. They put up with a nobody fan conducting interviews with them and were very accomodating of all in attendance. Our very own @boonboon won the major prize of tickets to next weekends game.

If anyone from here that was in attendance was willing to provide feedback to the club that may assist in ensuring we can get similar support for events in the future.

It was the 1st questioned asked, I am not 100% on what the answers were, I'm a poor listener lol. I think Blore said he was expecting to be back in Round 10, still in the training and Walters said he has just started full training with the squad.

If I got that wrong others in attendance might be able to correct me.

Apparently there was heaps of people lining up to meet TT...:blush: .he was up the ladder cleaning gutters...what a crap job that was,but had enough done to watch the magnificent win by the WTs...
