The club deserves the Spoon

If we're a top 8 side next year (which i believe we will be) the wooden spoon this year won't bother me.
 
Don't want the spoon.
It is a disgraceful title that the Wests Tigers have avoided.
Our team "good enough" to finish above Newcastle. We are "better" than them.
 
The players staying and the supporters don't deserve the spoon…....maybe some "supporters" should just stop and look elsewhere for another team, seriously ludicrous thing to say that the club deserves the spoon.

I think we will improve in 2018 …. but that may be Bridget too far!
The combinations and new team would need to gel rather quickly.
Think in 2019 with extra year and addition of marquee player or two ....we may soar into the top 8.

Unless you know the players personally you can read anything into what you want and come up with a loaded explanation.
The ridiculous thing is that if fans still cant see why Teddy and Woods have decided to move based on all the things we do know and are equally frustrated by as fans of this club, then you are just looking at someone else to blame instead of accepting where the big problem has always been and that is with years of inept management.

The one truth that occurred re: who the players wanted as coach- not once did Woods or Tedesco (our 2 most influential/high profile players) say that they wanted JT kept on as coach or wanted him here long-term. To many people that is a damning indication that they didn't really want him kept as coach, hence people putting 2 plus 2 together.
 
Yep you could speculate all day and still not have a clue. Maybe Tedesco went to Roosters because Taylor was going back there. Ridiculous maybe. But based on as much fact as all the other speculations. Zilch. lol

no one "deserves" the spoon as such, certainly not in the "angry at my own club" context of the OP.

We know why he went there, he has told us all along and even during blues camp for origin one. It is not about the money, he wants to be successful. He wants his name in bright lights and he does not see our club as the vehicle to provide that for him.

I can't ever recall any player saying switching clubs is only about the money ….. but I think it is always a significant factor.

I'm not counting on anything when it comes to Luke. What we have seen from him is the best he will ever get. Think its a pity that MM was asking too much $$ as he has far more upside than our boy Luke.
Whether we make the eight or get close will come down more to how Reynolds fits it IMO.

100%… The 'CLUB' does deserve the spoon for its ongoing mismanagement. Its just a shame some of our players & fans will have to also endure this accolade.

It is what it is and since we love a cliche at the Wests Tigers, "next year" will have to be better :laughing:
