Ok so here is my biggest concern.
We are playing busted this year and the results of that are lower member numbers and a lack of ability to recruit new, quality, players. In the past we had the Aussie coach and a style of play that attracted people here. Now we have neither.
If members are down next year, on the back of attendance declines this year our perilous financial position will get worse. Now repeat. It's a spiral.
What I'd like to see is some sort of review and a resulting plan to get out of it.
It needs to address recruitment, injury management, training methods, and salary cap management etc.
On the coach, he gets a chance based on the injuries. If he had a decent squad I've seen enough to suggest that he can coach and provide. Well, enough for a chance.
On multiple grounds - I don't care. If we don't have a team that can compete it wouldn't matter if we played every game at 1 ground. No one would go.
The only way to address the issues we have is to be more transparent about how the club will move forward. We wait until the season finishes to do this normally, well the season is over right now. So start early and get the plan in place early.
