The Halves

The best performing combination we have had this year is....
6 Reynolds
7 Brooks
At least we had been scoring 20 plus points a game with theses two.

still think Doueihi is a 6. Need a fullback & a winger as priority.

I hope Doueihi doesn't end up a utility, just seems to be missing some pace for fullback but I'll give him next season before I make judgement.

Agreed. Too good for utility - still only 22 though so has time. Centre or 5/8 imo. Doesn't have the pace for fullback.

I have a feeling he’ll slip into the same category as Mbye, not being able to cement a position. He won’t last at fullback. Next stop is probably number 6.

We need to be careful signing utilities to long contracts on big $$ to much of a big risk. Actually wouldn't surprise me if he ends up in the back row if he gets bigger.

I worry about that too but do think he is better than Mbye. Has a great step, passing game, kicking game. Fingers crossed.

Still in desperate need of a winger. Johnson or JAC would be ideal but getting them here is another thing...

All our halves are currently in career worst form. All at the same time. It can’t be coincidental.

No they are in the same form As the lead however many years.

Benji is still rocks and diamonds
Brooks can’t get repeat sets or do anything inside the 20
Reynolds has hardly played
Walters ACL
The rest are kids

Brooks lucked out with a Dally M. Dominant half with good defence in a team where no one else was consistently ok

If Doueihi were to bulk up he good a be a gun in the back row with his ball playing ability however I would really like him to work on fullback and see how far he can take his game there

I said in another thread...Brooks and Benji dont work and I dont know why they get selected after making the same errors every week,Benji got dropped because of defensive issues, how did it work out for him,has he learnt ? Brooks got dropped because of his last play options and poor options in the red zone, how did that work out has he learnt?...

Madge had better find a solution because both these guys cant seem to get the team going forward or close out a game when needed...the main job of a playmaker seems beyond them atm....

I’d try Doueihi in the halves before bringing Madden in. Look at Madden, Simpkin and maybe other development players in the last couple of rounds.
No Benji or Lawrence, they won’t or shouldn’t be here in 2021. From now on stick with those who probably will be.
