Here we are nearly at the end of round eight and currently we are sitting in fifth place after a very good win against the Dogs…
Dragons and Broncos both had good wins and are going very well..In my opinion,as the rep games are played I think the top four teams who have rep players in their sides, will start to feel the pinch of a hard drawn out season and with our young side improving every game and not to many of them will be selected I don't think (apart from Woods and Robbie) they can concentrate on their structure and game plans ...I did say in another thread,if we beat the Dogs on Friday night, which we did,the team will turn the corner and string some good wins together..they seem to have some confidence about them and do look like they play what's in front of them, albeit with guidance from Robbie...in saying what I have,I really think our team playing the way they did and having learnt how to secure a winning lead and muscle up in defence for the whole 80 mins, will DEFINATELY threaten a lot more of the fancied teams..
I'm not getting on the "we are finalist band wagon",however a top four finish is very, very much achievable as long as they stick to structure and play hard and solid for the entire games ahead..this could realistically be the best season in years the WTs have had..
I don't want to put a mocker on them, but they did show some good strength and intestinal fortitude on Friday night,it was pleasing to see, especially being such a young side.....

Robbie said it best..."after the Raiders game we could of hung our heads and let the game result get to us,however the whole team dug deep and corrected mistakes and made amends for the poor performance " ....therein lies the soul of the team.... :supporter:
