The lunch

The only way to truly get the media off our backs is to start winning football games it’s the answer to all our problems but things like this certainly make a difference
I agree that winning is the big scenario in any sport, however, I think that if a club such as ours has had a shocking run with salary cap issues, poor recruitment, coach sacking, players back biting and others not putting in consistently, then we are going to attract poor media constantly especially if we dont make the finals for years...
If this club and team can show stability, consistency and professionalism on a regular basis as in every day, week, month and year, then we are showing all and sundry that the EFFORT is there to be competative and professional at NRL standard, therefore media and others will get behind us as they then can say that the Tigers are ""having a fair dinkum go for the fanbase and rugby league as a whole""

Maybe tonight would be a great start.....go the mighty WTs...

Before that happens we need to discover what we need to do to win games.

Interesting pod. I liked the comment about rookies (walker/Walsh) starting out at strong clubs verse struggling clubs. Apparently it was mentioned at this WT lunch. Be nice to know how the club plans to supplement it’s youth strategy.

I’d say Papali’i and Koroisau is a start..

Very well said mate you summed it up very well

Yes, I agree that is a start. Long way to go unless four or five current players go from fringe player to dominant player though. I’ll be very disappointed if those guys come along and just get bogged down in our losing culture. Guys like Ofahengaue, Noffa, Musgrove, Mikaele, time they prove their worth.

Buzz would be the easiest to manipulate of all the journos. Good start to get some positive clicks

He breaks stories for breakfast that bloke.

For those that didn't catch the pod, apparently, nickname, Buzz come from a Mortein bug spray add, someone coined it to him 30 years ago and stuck. Useless fact.
