So you absolve Taylor of all responsibility for what happened that day. So then what is Taylor responsible for? Since we have defensive coaches and attacking coaches, is it not his job to get the players up for the most important game of the year??? You fan boys are hilarious lol.
Same way you absolve an incompetent playing roster , I'll be amazed if we beat Canberra / Roosters in the 3 seasons
We can't match either side physically , simple as that
When you take into account the selection blunders, favouritism of extremely ordinary players, Lack of the ability to admit to his mistakes, and the excuses pedalled by him continuously, it's hard to adsolve Taylor from anything.
When are you Taylor lovers going to face the fact that he knew what he was getting into when he came here. What happened , or happens since , is his responsibility.
No more Excuses .
The problem with some is they can't admit we have a mediocre playing roster still in key areas
Defensively our weakest areas are all linked , our two in , three in and 4 in on both sides of the ruck would be easily the worst in the NRL and it won't improve no matter who the coach is
Until we get a better playing roster , who can any expect better results and still blame the coaching roster
Don't worry GCT , if we'd picked up one decent defensive back rower and centre for 2017 I'd probably agree with you
But if the WT's don't make the 8 , Taylor will be gone , whether people like it or not
And no I'm not a Taylor lover , I just understand what the situation is
Some people just don't get or understand what having a substandard playing roster really means when it comes to the crunch
I understand what you're saying Happy, and actually agree with most of your post,
Yes our playing roster is mediocre in a lot of positions, but for probably most of our existence, that has been the case.
We have never been able to consistently attract the players that we need , to be at the top, for a lot of reasons
Occasionally we manage to overachieve just enough to raise everyone's hopes for better times ahead. And we all know how that usually pans out.
For any one to come to this club and expect to win a comp with this team is stupid ,or just saying what he thinks will get him a series of extensions while failing at the one thing that he said he'd improve.
Although I'd love to see it, I doubt that we will be unlikely to be able to change things enough to attract
The sort of , and the number of better quality players that we need to get to the level of performances that we all want. It's never been easy to get those sort of players and I can't see much changing
Clubs seem to have windows of opportunity to make or win Semis and GFs, and those windows close quickly if the teams don't take full advantage of them.
My greatest fear is that this board would be silly enough to actually give Taylor an extension way before they should even consider it,
It's fair enough if the side makes big improvements on what's happened and he gets some consistency into the halves and the rest of the team 0ver the season( not just the first three or four games) for him to get a years extension.
But if he doesn't, then I hope you're right and he is gone
If we don't have a good start this season then our chances of attracting players will be made just that little bit harder
So I'm hoping your crystal ball is working lol.
