You talk about money issues at first and then end the paragraph with hire Cleary or Toovey.
Where will that 700k - 1m come from?

This is what irks me about bagging the coach out everytime it comes to making the finals eg. bptiger you call JT a snake in the grass,do you know him personally or is it because you don't want him coaching the side in your PROFESSIONAL OPINION as an NRL coach or just a keyboard warrior..he has done a reasonable job so far and still has a year to go…how about letting him do his job as per contract first and foremost..dont for a minute think we have a world class playing roster to win us a premiership at the moment,we have what we have that is affordable for the club,,and speaking of which,Brooks,Moses and company are paid big money to PERFORM in the NRL arena,if **they spit the dummy during the game, miss tackles at crucial parts of the game,go missing during the game and don't perform to their pay cheques, maybe you should call them" snakes in the grass" for expecting payment for dismal performances...**its a two way street,as a coach you can only work with what you have,if the players cant handle the heat of bigtime NRL then maybe they should look at another career and stop wasting club and members money by not performing to the reported hype and talent....

There was one player whom applied himself 100% of the game but that did not get him very far - as well was considered by many to be the devil incarnate

Tedesco got heaps from this season played SOO and made the PM's 13

I don't think anyone sees him as the devil incarnate though

Love it.

JT is a snake in the grass, he should have been sacked long ago. but due to are no money issue, if he can have the team in the top 6 after 10 rounds then maybe a 1 year add on only so the players know whats going on, other than that if we are down the bottom after 3-6 six games sack him and sign cleary or toovey.

You talk about money issues at first and then end the paragraph with hire Cleary or Toovey.

well true tiger u bag me and u don't know me from a bar of soap, JT has been the worst coach this club has had. I don't know him either but a do speak to a couple of players from the club we are not close buddies but they have told me what a jerk JT is and that is good enough for me. he has done bugger all for this club are defence is as bad as when he came and for most of his tender we have played taylor ball, so mate get of ur high horse, or is HE UR BEST MATE.

Not the worst coach we've had statistically -

Wayne Pearce: 26 matches; 11 wins, 13 losses, 2 draws; 42.3% winning percentage
Terry Lamb: 50 matches; 16 wins, 33 losses, 1 draw; 32% winning percentage
Tim Sheens: 249 matches; 122 wins, 127 losses; 49% winning percentage
Mick Potter: 48 matches; 17 wins, 31 losses; 35% winning percentage
Jason Taylor: 48 matches*; 19 wins, 29 losses; 40% winning percentage

I mean if you play the "I know players they say coach is jerk" as your ace in a final retort (going so far as to use the caps lock to finish off) when someone calls you out… You know as sure as hell it's nothing more than creative writing, why wouldn't we have heard this before?

If is a true claim about some of the players' attitude he obviously can't name them so we can't really judge. But going on that round 26 game result I think the better players felt short-shafted with the roster and responded accordingly although they are professionals. It is unfortunate we don't have Tiger Torch's inside info on round 26.

Isn't the phrase "snake in the grass" used to describe somebody who just stays in the shadows and undermines people behind the scenes? Taylor couldn't have been much more upfront when it came to ousting Farah from the club. It was a brave move considering he would of known it would of caused a massive backlash from many WT supporters who haven't liked JT from day one anyhow. He would know better than any of us who is/was a devisive influence in our club and he acted swiftly and decisively on it. Hardly snake in the grass material IMO.

Having a game plan and players sticking to a game plan are two different things.

If you honestly think that Taylor sent them out to get beat by a cricket score, or even just to get beat, you are delusional GCT.

So you absolve Taylor of all responsibility for what happened that day. So then what is Taylor responsible for? Since we have defensive coaches and attacking coaches, is it not his job to get the players up for the most important game of the year??? You fan boys are hilarious lol.

Same way you absolve an incompetent playing roster , I'll be amazed if we beat Canberra / Roosters in the 3 seasons

We can't match either side physically , simple as that

When you take into account the selection blunders, favouritism of extremely ordinary players, Lack of the ability to admit to his mistakes, and the excuses pedalled by him continuously, it's hard to adsolve Taylor from anything.
When are you Taylor lovers going to face the fact that he knew what he was getting into when he came here. What happened , or happens since , is his responsibility.
No more Excuses .

Couldn't agree more with your post.

With no more excuses this year, lets see how the team is performing before any decision on taylors future is made. Extending His contract before a ball is even kicked would be a big mistake.

We don't need any more uncertainties this year. Extend him for a year, he deserves that.

He could have easily kicked the can down the road with the cap situation, but not only has he fixed it, but he managed to get us within a whisker of the 8 while operating on fumes.

The RF situation, while unfortunate, was not played out in the media because of JT .. and we all know who leaked it. He should not be punished for bad handling there, unless you want to show everyone that bad behaviour from agents and players gets you results.

The support to kick JT after making these tough decision for our long term by some supporters is exactly why we are a rabble of a club. It seems too many of us want short term success instead and kick and scream even when we are noticebly on the right track.

I respectfully disagree i feel that we would be far more of a rabble if we gave him an extension despite doing zero in his first 2 years. He is getting a 3rd year if we make top 6 then fine give him another year but he has to achieve that goal."No more mediocrity no more excuses"

The more I keep thinking the more I think that Taylor's contract should be upgraded asap. I've kind of back flipped on this point, but believe its in the best interest of the club.
I didn't like his appointment from the start but 'it is what it is'. I really believe we are only 1 or 2 quality signings away from being a force in the comp and although it would be disappointing if we missed the finals again this year, we must continue with Taylor as coach.
From what I see looking in he has support of the players and the board are backing him, so I'm now in the affirmative to keep his tenure going at the club.
