The only way forward

There is little value in Naiqama. If there was, Bennett would not be letting him go. Anyway you don't just get Wes, you have to buy his brother too! He has done little to speak of at the Knights, he is not the solution to our problems just because he has strung 6 reasonable games together.

PS His goal kicking is not that great either

The name Darius Boyd ring a bell . He (Naiqama )would have to be better than Moltzen , with Brown supposedly going we are left with Mullaney or Moltzen . If they don't get a quality Fullback we will struggle big time next year No matter how good our forwards are or how good our 9,7 and 6 play That is the issue and if the club doesn't think so they will be in for a huge shock next year

naturally there will be little value in Naiqama when Boyd is there

I agree with yossarian, his lack of running game is not through lack of effort, the refs seem to be letting the markers get away with a bit, this dowdy effect forward passes, now smith is reigning supreme.

yeah he's certainly been making some ummm 'different' decisions on the field that kick with all those players outside of him certainly highlights it

What a ridiculous thread. God some people have no idea what so ever. Robbie may not be playing well but to say to get rid of him is ludercrus. He is an important part of the team.

Is it me or are these threads getting more & more dumb every day.

I dont think Robbie has been the same since origin all the press about how he has to change his game to make origin again has got to hes head hes not the same player …he should forget about it and start playing the way he did before

I actually think it's a good thread, because it takes some nuts to post "alternative" views on this forum, good on you Sirro.

At this stage personally I don't think we can afford to sack Farah, at his best he's as good as Smith. I do think though, that he does need to have the (C) taken away from beside his name so he can just concentrate on trying to get his best form back. Maybe he is playing injured, I don't know. There's definitely something missing this year with this team, besides a few injured players and in my opinion it revolves around the captain.

Ellis would be my choice, followed by Heighno, but the way the club is going at the moment they'd probably give it back to Marshall!

It is a big call and I understand where you are coming from but we could not and should not do it.

Robbie Farah from 2007-2009 was the best hooker in the game IMO. He practically carried us on his back for those three years and I truly believe we would have gone close to the spoon in one of those years had he not been there. Remember that during this time Marshall was inconsistent at best and not playing at the level he is at now and Farah was basically running the show.

Since then, it is clear Robbie has gone backwards. Not only is he not getting his usual penalties by catching the markers out, his options in attack are often poor, especially his short kicks. For whatever reason he seems to want to be able to alot of the attacking work himself. I think he really needs to focus on just providing good service, and only kicking when he needs to. I like his kick option from dummy half on the 4th or 5th, but the attacking kicks close to the line need to be reduced. He is trying these too often and they are killing us.

Farah's main attacking weapon - dummy half running - has been largely ruled out of the game unless you have a dominant pack of forwards and ours do not play like one.

Three things will fix Farah's game.

In another thread the point was made that he has not adjusted to the new style of NRL ruck play and that is very true. He must adjust his game to suit the rulings because it is clear the refs are not going to adjust to suit his style of play.

Like many on here say, he needs to get the LOW PERCENTAGE glory plays out of his game. We love his glory plays when they are on, but he tries to pull a rabbit out of the hat way too often. His vision is being clouded by his desire to create something from nothing. If there is an overlap use it! Only use the cute grubber if it is truly on.

Lastly, I have never felt he is a great captain. I know different players have different ways of captaining a side, but I just don't think it suits him or the team. It was bestowed on him in order to sweeten his contract, not out of respect and there's a big difference! I would prefer a senior player captain who plays a simple, consistently good game and is not afraid to get stuck into the team behind the posts but I can't see this changing anytime soon.

The same goes for Sheens as a coach. Unless the team fails to make the finals and then starts next year poorly he is safe.

Iit is worth a try I guess but not with Marshall as captain . Enough on his plate already .Maybe the lack of responsibilty will free up Robbie's game a bit and stop clouding his mind . Ellis or Rhino would be my options Its not if they make many calls anyway , half the time they get a message from the coaches box instructing them what to do

Give me a break.

I'm with you Lards.
Robbies the only one who comes out after a bad game and tells it like it is. Some of the other players should look at their games and stop crying about "team harmony". No one asked Fifita and Grubbs to leave, They chased the payday. Robbie actually plays his heart out for this team, maybe if more players did too and stopped winging about their own feelings there would not be the alleged "players upset at internal drama". Robbie Farah is far from the problem on this team. While we are at it let's get rid of Galloway (who wouldn't play injured anyway), Lui, and Marshall. Benji played like a busted when all this internal crap was brought up in the first place. Maybe the reason Farrahs game has taken a dive is because the supporting cast are poor and not at the same level as his. If players want to stay together and be mediocre then Cronulla want you, personally I could care less if the players are happy as long as we win they can go jump!

Good thread! Ellis should be captain. Farah is okay but not captain material at the moment. Put Ellis captain while we still have him.

No mate it's you. I've noticed that people seem to be allowed to have an opinion as long as it goes with the flow. As soon as someone posts something thought provoking (wether you agree or not) there seems to be no end of people who get all worked up and have a little hissy fit. I have to laugh at how worked up some people get over little things on these boards. Why all the aggro????????? I don't agree with the thread but it's by no means "dumb". Who are you to say that it might not work? Stranger things have happened.

Gibbs was told he could look at other clubs… That's tantamount to being asked to leave.

Both were told they did not have to leave. Both are under contract with us. Both got offered more money at Cronulla. Both put money ahead of loyalty. One is now on his high horse cos the Tigers were not going to match the 300,000 a year for a bench prop who is yet to prove he is worth 300,000 a year. Both were under contract, they did not have to go anywhere if they were so desperate to stay. This is not the NFL, teams can't just dump players to sign others.

this my take on robbies lack of form, he is making for to many tackles, the rest of the forwards need to stand up and help him out. chris and gareth excepted.he has no go in him when we get the ball.

Fulton definitely was told to look around as well. Maybe Moltzen was also given permission. And yes your right it is the same thing as being asked to leave.

I'm not sure if Fifita is in the same situation - he may have gone for the money.

FFS Robbie drops some form and the knives are out, isn't the same since he got dropped from origin?? Didn't he win Dally M 2010 Hooker of the year and just missed out (again) on player of the year.

In general they team is yet to click, injuries and poor form, not just Robbie. In the next few weeks we will click, we will make the eight and we will have a good go at the premiership, and Robbie will be out in front.

Go Tigers
