The Problem with the Tigers attack is

Our 5/8 position is a concern. Benji and Reynolds wouldn’t get a run in most top 8 sides.
Storm Munster, Broncos Milford, Dragons Widdop, Roosters Keary, Souths Walker, Panthers Maloney, Sharks Johnson, Knights Ponga.

The only sides we are better than at 5/8 maybe are Raider Wighton, Bulldogs Foran, Eels Brown, Titans Jacks, Warriors Keighran.

I hope Reynolds comes good but he looks done to me injury wise. He’s also a poor fit with Brooks. Benji cant carry us for another full season he was streaky at best tonight albeit conditions did not suit his game.

Robbie was classy as usual and scored a couple of tries plus his kick pressure all night. Maybe wait for the first loss for this thread to kick back into gear !!

I couldn't watch the game so listened to it on radio. It sounds like Farah played a blinder, especially with his kicking game i don't know what his service was like. It sounds like Liddle will be sidelined for a while longer.

I thought the most outstanding part of Robbies game was the fact he consistently made DCE rush his clearing kicks

It depends what you want in a hooker. Farah does things other hookers can not, no doubt. He was pretty good last night. His downside is at 35, he adds no real pace or ability to scoot around the ruck and at times this year it will definitely hurt us. Hats off him to for a good game. The effort is definitely there.

On the overall topic, our attack still has issues. Our outside backs still look pretty unthreatening (Lets not misinterpret this, they all tried hard and ran for 100m), but in terms of spark there was not alot. The positives is for the first time, our go forward looked a bit better with Aloiai reaching his potential, while Mikaele and Matterson added more dynamic.

Farah even at 35 gives you a great kick option, upwards of 40 tackles a game and a good football brain. I would love to see Liddle coming off the bench, but the four big forward bench is probably the way to go

The conditions suited the aged version of Farah perfectly. That said, apart from an early pressure relieving penalty and later trying to blame Taylor when he dropped the ball, Robbie was one of the best on field.

Still think that our attack is rather predictable. I would like to see our centres get early ball. Both look dangerous.

Api Koroisau made 52 tackles. Some of them were try savers like the one where he was the last line defence and stopped a rampaging Josh Aloiai . If Api didn't turn up like he did I think we would have had another 10 points on the board.

The extended highlights are up on NRL.com / NRLTV.
They'll put up the full match should be up at some stage. Hopefully today.

Farah is still all class. Seems like no matter what happens some people just don't like the guy and will deathride him. Yes he's not as fast on his feet these days but the extra kicking option and organisation he brings suited last night perfectly.

Let's be honest, there's a reason he's still getting picked at 35 years old, it's because we have no other viable option.

Madge dropped Farah at Souths for Cook, if Liddle was good enough right now he'd have done the same here.

A good win in the end ,but the attacking structure needs heaps of work , Taylor is not big enough to be used as a battering ram ..the attacking options last night were easy to read .When Mbye returns Thompson to the wing that will help with some pace ,Jennings will be a good signing but he looks slow and unfit some full games in ISP and training will fix that .I could see plenty of issues but no use commenting as a win is a win and these certainly will become evident sooner than later .

I agree, Benji is not up to being our starting 6, but I think maybe Keighran and Brown might be better week to week propositions than Benji

Don’t think cheekam added match off the bench, 15mins, 13m and 1 tackle. I think Liddle would have been great around the ruck in the wet with his speed coming off the bench.
