The punters/Tim Grant

Really like the look of our pack with the addition of Grant (assuming the Mole isn't talking through his fundamental orifice)

Im the same….one more big bopper there and im feeling a lot better about our pack!

Non fussed about Grant. I was excited to see what Griffin and McConnachie could bring to the team, you'd think Grant would be a head of them in the pecking order. Than again I'd hope if they are playing better than him Taylor will pick them. Completion for spots is always good.

Mole tweets today that it's official or will be soon

Tim Grant >WTs

B Lawrence >Roosters

Not bad at all. If I think it will be a very balanced pack of forwards for WT in 2016.

I cannot believe some Forum Members comments in relation to Grant.

28 year old prop with 139 NRL games plus 2 State of Origin games under this belt plus 110 kgs.

What is not to like about him especially with Galloway and Taupau gone.

Our pack now looks decent on paper

Woods
Farah
Sue
Lawrence
Sirro
Edwards
\
\
Ava (prop rotation)
Grant (prop rotation)
Halatua (second row rotation)
Chee Kam (backs and forward coverage)
\
\
plenty of back up in State Cup lead by the Grithin, McConnacin, Buchanan, Lovett, Dallas Graham.

Finally some competition for starting places which is a great thing.

I love the signing, Taylor is under pressure so he will be forced to play the performers.

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Grant

We badly need a front rower and Grant might not be the best, but he knows the trade and will get a job done. Moss and Taylor have recruited much better than some of our efforts in the past. Starting to get some positive vibes for 2016

A welcome addition and certainly takes some pressure off the other props that were in line.

I think we are actually looking pretty good.

What's not to like about him is how he has been playing for the last 2 years, which has been pretty poor. The number of games or origins he has played in the past doesn't change that, and size alone doesn't mean a great deal. Two years is a long spell of ordinary form…

If we have signed him then I'll get behind me him and hope he turns a corner and lifts his game, but I saw quite a few Souths games last year and he did not impress so if we don't get him I won't be too sad...

Yet in 30 minutes a game he averaged over 100 metres.

Not bad for a bloke going poorly.

We had forwards playing 60 mins that wold be cheering if they got that much!

Exactly right

I was going off what I saw, not the stats. Looking at the stats though he averaged less than 100 metres a game and more than 30 minutes per game.

He did have a good tackling efficiency though and a high average metres per hit up which is a good sign for a prop. His stats are better than I would have thought.

Just saying good first graders don't usually get released mid contract by 2 different clubs in 2 years

While Grant is not at his career best, I think that assessment is somewhat harsh.

Grant's release-if it happens-has everything to do with Burgess returning and more than likely little or nothing to do with any perceived lack of form

He will have a lot to prove, with a reduced interchange and loss of Kilo, Grant shouldn't be a bad pickup for a squad in need of props ATM. He should also be able to play some decent minutes if he gets a injury free off season.

I just got a text saying this is now official, but have not seen anything in the media

From who?

I'd rather not say specifically, but someone involved in the game. Although better than a guy in a pub, not always reliable.
