Without giving my source - Wests will sell if the price is right. It's a direct source on Wests group board.
The conversation I had also confirmed they believe the value will change dramatically depending upon early results in 2016 (not my view).
In addition it was expressed that they are weary of taking on the full ownership commitment themselves. The board has differing views on Harry, though were entertaining the 'idea'.
Conversation was over 6 weeks ago now.
i have heard the same thing many many times over the last few months.
truth be told though - most clubs in the NRL will sell to a private owner if the price is right.
obviously they would try and learn from the debacle over at Newcastle, but the NRL competition is slowly but surely moving towards the corporate business model in the same way NFL and European Football clubs are owned and run.
