Imagine a new boss walks in and undoes all the perks and comforts of your job. It may be for your own benefit, but you won't like it. Everyone wants to get max pay and enjoyment for minimum fuss.
So I for one am glad to hear not all the players like him. This business is more about results than popularity; in other words, results breed popularity. Some of the worst coaches in the world have been the nicest, most popular guys.
As a coach at junior level the first lesson I learnt was that you cannot please everybody, players or parents (fans). It takes courage but I am very now very sure that Potter has plenty of it. Good luck to him for standing his ground and not conceding to anybody's strategy but his own.
So, Banji then was re-instated as part of Potter standing his ground, was he?
No, let's be honest, it seems likely that he was coerced into it by his senior players. Did you see that photo taken after the team selection, of Liam Fulton with his arms around Ben?i.
