The sharks are confident.

Yes we did lose first game last year but this year its a home game. I dont think we will let it slip and im pretty sure we will win it hopfully.

I think the Sharkies will have problems gelling as a team - its all well and good to rip up in the trials, however with so many new faces their may be issues with communication and hesitation.

I still have them as my smokey pick for the top 8, however think it's good we will be dispatching this mob early, WAY before anyone gets on a Sharkies Fairytale bandwagon come the end of 2012, and way before they have there mob firing from all cylinders.

Sharks have a great forward pack….so do we. That should be enough to pack the ground without even worrying about the backs. Will be a great battle that I have us winning.

Sharks have 2 good backs....we have 4 that are consistently good and the other 3 are world beaters on any given day.

Our bench is better than theirs

We are coached better

We are at home.

I have us by 18+....32-12 will do.

Hopefully we snap carney & he's out 4 the season. Can't stand him. More lives than a cat.

I remember parramatta tried buying a winning. They did ok. But they didn't do great. too many one off good player without the team aspect.

Tigers by 8\. But we score in the last 2 mins to get that lead

How can we score in the last 2 mins to take the lead and win by 8?

Be careful GNR,
He might get you on that one.

We're leading by 2, then in the last 2 mins we score and convert to get that lead.
( not take the lead )

I think it will be close, but I think that our backline offers more and the bench should be stronger. So we will win, but not by too much. Tigers by 7.

the sharks will be confident.
no expectation of them
\
\
we will find out very soon how wests-tigers cope with the expectation of them.
if not good, they will be surely reminded, alot, by certain knuckleheads in the media.

Lol so what if they are confident? So are we?

It's Round 1, anything can happen, every team should be confident, if they aren't then they shouldnt be in the comp.

😕

On paper, the Tigers have em all over the park.. But the Tiges are renowned for their slow starts, I predict a golden point game against the sharkies!

Can't pick a winner yet!!

Um, you would think most teams would be confident for round one wouldn't you haha?? Tigers I think will still have a little too much class for the Sharkies. Yeah, they got a decent forward pack, with perhaps the best forward in the game - Gallen, but then again, I gaze over the Tigers pack, and I just see a little more class than Sharks. Will be an early try or two to the Tigers, then Sharks will come back for a lead, until around the 65th minute, when the Tigers always seem to click in gear at Leichhardt and run away with an 8 point lead.

The Sharks are confident? They've got every right to be. They've recruited fairly well, and secured a decent #7.

Will they beat the Tigers? Who knows… They gave Manly a nasty shock and Tigers should have flattened Easts...

I predict there will be a great Sunday arvo at Leichhardt and my missus and I will be a part of it.

The only way for our team to be true Premiership contenders is to defeat the teams that shouldn't be Top 8 material, how many games have the Tiges let slip away in the past from sides that aren't genuine contenders, it stops here.

Sharks are not the best team to play on round one, they usually come out firing. A lot of other teams are up and down for the first six weeks, the Sharks tend to be pretty good early than fade and than come back at the end of the season. A sellout crowd 99% behind the home team, we should win and win well but I have a funny feeling the Sharks are going to have a good season

There are no easy games in the NRL anymore. For me its not a case of how much we win /lose by because that depends on the opposition on the day. I'm happier if we win by 4 against a good Sharks team than if we win by 20 against a bad outfit.

I'm looking for more professionalism this year and an ability to shut close games out, starting with Round 1.
