Brother!!!

Your supporting the re-signing of Sheens without seeing any results early next year, s**o that says your happy with him providing us what he has the last 4 years, 9th and 10th.**

wow, now u know how im thinking… mate u need to teach me this... some kind of force?

All im saying King Sirro, is now he has the ammo, the results should show.. u dont become Aus Coach for being a failure or getting his coaching skill from a cerial box.. he has the skill knowledge, he has support, respect and pretty much everything in a coach needs, he keeps the players in line, and keeps their feet on the ground. and i aggree with most, if 2010 doesnt pan out maybe look for a change.. but the NZ coach is a step backwards.. unproven and untested.. his only great thing he has done was 1 GAME!!!!! and that is with Bennett at his side.. who is a master coach.. how did NZ go this year in the 4 Nations? How did they go with the games against Australia in last years world cup other then the final. and how did they go in ever other game against Aus since the WC Final?
Dont be blinded by his one game.. he may yet to prove a good coach one day, but do u want us to be the guinea pig at tigers with him coaching? what happens if it fails.. another 3 or 4 years wondering

Ellis came to Wests to play NRL…Sheens had nothing to do with it, Buckets O'Neills influence luckily saw him come to us instead of Manly.

LOL...a step backwards...

9th or 10th, take a step or even three backwards and its 13th 14th...all equals no September footy once again.
But as KS says, we can stick with someone who makes a habit of missing, or take a chance on someone new.

All fair comments. I differ a little as i believe he has had the cattle to at least make the 8 occasionally. On Kearney, he'd probably be a bit down on my list of candidates, so agree with u a bit there.

LMAO

Stock standard spin….(if it occured - which I highly doubt)...gets the suckers every time tho

If He is on the open market, he will have been signed by a rival within a week

For the record I think you will find that Tim Sheens contract will be exteneded for an additional 2 years .

No matter what you or I think about the squad the reality is is that all betting agencies reckon he hasn't had the players to make the 8 in the past. There is simply no arguement to be had, only that your opinion on the players he's had is different to betting agencies assesments. I'm not all for Sheens and absoulutely wouldn't go for anyone else, but I think he deserves a chance to prove himself with a good squad and I just can't see any other decent candidates. Folkes maybe, but he's on Tims coaching staff anyway.

I agree the playing roster is not what it shouldve been, recruitment has been pretty woeful bar 2004…just another of Sheens' inadequacies - he's only himself to blame

He also banked on the likes of Farah, Marshall, Colllis, Harrison, Halatau et al on getting the job done….....they failed as well....

This new crop of youngsters need to step up when injuries hit or it will be de javu..........

who cares now. thats the past… this is now!!!.... u play with the cards that you are dealt with... i rekon we have a pretty good hand

They were paid as juniors with part of the top squads salary cap in order to avoid a repeat of ''the Ryan Hoffman scenario"
Half are now at other clubs.

''the Ryan Hoffman scenario" is only part of the reason …..

Doesn't change the fact that Sheens put a lot of faith in the' 05 juniors to step up.....At the time I don't recall to many being critical retention of these blokes....Only with hindsight did it turn out that half of them weren't up to it!

Recruitment until Ellis and '10 suffered because of it......

As you say Sheens has cut the deadwood..they're at other clubs....he deserves credit for that.......

over the last 4 seasons, tim sheens certainly hasn't been the most successful coach. BUT, in saying this ATM we have no alternative to replace him with. I still think he is one of the premier coaches in the league ATM. sure, he hasn't had great success, but that has still got alot to do with the players. he's been coaching us for 7 years now, and in that timespace, alot has changed at the wests tigers. who know's where we'd be if we still had Terry Lamb?!? he hasn't recruited "big name' players over the years, but has had good success in blooding youth at the right time.

Lets be honest…Sheen's results have been a complete failure over the past 4 seasons,& if it wasnt for 2005 he'd be long gone.
Also a fact is that a high number of our high potential juniors havent kicked on under his tutelage ....yet many seem to miraculously improve when they go to other clubs/coaches.
Really good coaches like Bellamy & Bennett seem to be able to consistently turn ordinary footballers into superstars, but Sheens struggles to convert most high potential kids into anything but journeyman(yep, theres a couple of exceptions, but they are just that..exceptions)
In every one of the past 4 seasons we end with optimism for next year but somehow erratic performances + injuries which havent been planned for & inability to motivate players for key games all combine for yet another failure.
Its time the spinmaster was held accountable ....if theres no-one rite now available for 2011,sign him to a one yr deal max but I couldnt stand another 3 + seasons(incl next yr)of empty promises & what ifs

I dont blame Sheens, You can only do so much with the Tools your presented with, not to say some players were Tools, lol. With the new players and improvements in the U20s we should see alot of improvements.

Sunday Evening reads 72 percent in favour of Tim Sheens.

Were are all the repondants??

Have your say…

wow! even though i voted yes, i didnt expect such a large percentage to!
in my opinion, his selection policies and move away from shuffling the same players around last season really won me back. ive always been a supporter of his, but was getting VERY frustrated at selections.
i did think he gave marshall too many chances, but he did come good and so i cant keep whingeing about that!
ellis was the best recruitment coup the tigers have had…

I want and know the tigers will make the top 4 at the regular seasons end in 2010!
If they do not,(cmon team!) I will do something for a nominated charity, you name it!
I also challenge the tigers of 2010 and their fans to match me in whatever challenge is set, if we do not accomplish the target of the top 4 at seasons end!
I hate heights, snakes and sharks! If you don't want any of those, I reckon I can get my mates (however fat and slow) to beat Benji's Best at touch footy!
If we win let's keep Mr Sheens!
If not let's keep him any way!
Tim is the Man!
