The Storm Rorting Super Thread.....

In other news, there looks to be a big crowd for the Storm at Etihad right now. Good news for the future of the game in Melbourne, lets just hope they can keep it up for the rest of the season.

i dont no if people are retarted in melbourne thinking there supporting the underdog

because the players knew about it

first they supported afl next a bunch of cheaters

Also where was there fans when they were winning

WORST FANS IN THE A WORLD

Ray Hadley was blowing up about being lied to by Storm re what players were playing today. Mcdoulgal apparentrly played in NSW Cup and others not in firsts when told would not be any changes.

Yeah the Storm media manager told 2GB yesterday that no Storm players were on the Central Coast playing angainst the Centurions.

Than again Dr Teeths mail was that Lima, Lowrie, Blair and one other were there so who knows

The Storm are now being punished for breaking the internal corporate rules established by the NRL in order to maximize the NRL’s profits. While it has been labelled ‘cheating’ it needs to be remembered that the rules are purely internal to the NRL.

[Do we really care about the Storm and NRL Inc? (Read More, the rest is important)](http://economics.com.au/?p=5467)

Reading the articles saying the players still considered that they had won their premierships, that they bled for the premierships, that you could not take them away from them, I can understand this as an initial reaction.

However, I hope that the players come to realise that they won the competition by cheating. To extrapolate a little, what if an NRL team was to enter an under 12s comp. Sure, they win every game, but they won every game by fielding a team which was ineligible!

I have no doubt that the players on the team gave an awful lot of effort to win in 2007 and 2009\. However, that team should never have been allowed to play together because they were not eligible. Strengthening the Storm also had the flip side effect of weakening the other 15 teams.

And Ben Johnson still thinks he won the gold in the 100m back in 80's

Fair point ink….but if we locked them up the discussion end right there with no right of reply at least here and it does get messy for 2 pages sorry.......... you can still reply to someones point of .....Giving away Premiierships. Why should the Storm stay in the comp....the storm wrote of 5 premiership....etc

The Sponsorship Thread and Did the Players know? have been hve been left alone as they are seperate issues to themselves.....

but always open to criticism and probably done it different next time....thanks...

I mean try putting a Sheens Super Thread or a Fitzy 1.....It's like trying to hold back the Ocean.....

No worries, just like the topic, no easy answers either to this little problem…I see your point too

Maybe in the record books it should also say Melbourne Storm - World Club Champions (Stripped)

One question i've not seen and sorry if it's been asked but are the Storm players still eligable for Dally M points?. I'd imagine they got 3-2-1 last night.

I'd imagine so, they didn't strip Cameron Smith of the medal he won in 06.

I agree, that's un-fair.
advantage storm, yet again.
I don't even understand why they are credited for points they score….
their team is illegal.......and they are still allowed to play.......
in all honesty, the hard line has been drawn, and to maintain it, to prove a point to all other teams, there should be no acknowledgement of their ability at all, until they immediately get rid of major marquee players off their roster who will put them under the cap. :imp:

How bad will it look in Sept if either Smith, Slater or Inglis is awarded the Dally M. If the opinion of the experts is true to form and these are the people awarding points you can bet they will be making their point anyway they can.

There is doubt about wehter certain players knew of all this or not, players and the coach should be deregistered if found guilty of acting inappropriately, this entire NRL season has been flushed down shouse thanks to Melb

Why is it a joke. I thought the Dally M always favoured the one man bands, because they scored all the points. Dally M goes to the best player, whether their team comes first, fifth, eighth, twelfth or sixteenth.

Yeah but the team that wins a match normally has one of their players get the 3 Dally M points and most of the time the 2 and 1 points. If Melbourne didn't cheat they wouldn't win so many games therefor their players wouldn't get as many Dally M points as they are now. No Melbourne players should be able to win the Dally M award this year.

Stars with payments under scrutiny deny knowledge of cap rorts
BRAD WALTER AND SEBASTIAN HASSETT
April 27, 2010 Storm captain Cameron Smith, fellow Test stars Billy Slater, Greg Inglis and Brett White and former teammates Dallas Johnston, Michael Crocker and Steve Turner were revealed by The Sun-Herald as the players whose payments will be scrutinised as the investigation into the Storm continues.

Well hes pretty much told everything
now the players are [This word has been automatically removed]ed

I used to admire Cameron smith but i cant admire a cheater and someone that openly lies to all his fans

I hope the tigers don't try and pick up one of these dogs
