The Tim Moltzen thread

Really puts a sad aspect on a win. Good luck to him in his recovery. He will no doubt come back an even better player.

It is not a very well known fact, however in the tackle after full-time when Blake Ayshford did his knee last week against Canberra, Moltzen also injured his knee in the same tackle and was in serious doubt for this week's match. I just wonder if the knee was weak and just gave way as a result of the injury from the previous week. Given they reported he did both his ACL and his lateral ligament, i feel tis may be the case - he has strained one ligament last week and has over compensated with the other ligaments - unfortunately both have gone.
Moltz was also carrying a lower abdominal strain which was taking away his core strength. This is why Blake Lazarus was 18th man last week - he was cover for Moltz, not Benji.

Very sad for poor Timmy and we can't even hate a Cowboy for doing it! Life is so unfair.

Speedy recovery, Timmy.

i hear Arana although coming back from Ankle injury was on standby for a couple of boys who had the gastro bug this week. I think it could be him.

100% wont be AJ.. he is still out for a few more weeks

I think I saw O'Donnell or Mason push him, or breath on him, or do something… so why don't we just blame them - we hate them already!

But seriously, best of luck Tim. Hope the recovery is as fast and painless as possible.

Bad blow for him, but we do have some options to keep our season afloat.

Be interesting to see which way Sheens goes. He used the word manufacture tonight in regards to halfback for next week, that has me worried.

Lui is 2-3 weeks from returning. If Lazarus escapes suspension, he will surely get the gig if he was 18th man and covering for Moltzen in Canberra. Payten likely to be out for 6-8 weeks too.

Payten is a huge loss.

Moltzen's replacement will tell us ALOT about our chances this season. If Sheens ops for Fitzhenry, then it will show he has learnt absolutely nothing from previous years about playing players out of position.

If he opts for Lazarus, then maybe, just maybe, he has learnt his lesson.

Poor guy
What an absolutely shocking injury

A full tear to the ACL and a partial tear to a rotator something…. didn't quite catch it.
I am absolutely devastated.

Oh really?? Is Moltz injured??

I know for a fact you DO know what you are talking about..
This ISN'T the first time you have let on more than what is really going on towntiger..
But you didn't mention Moltz's other TWO injuries he was carrying before the Cowboys match..

if anyone wonders why some of us get so frustrated at the SHeens' bagging, reference this post.

It epitomises the arrogance of some of you. Sheens learning his lesson? Really?

Yep Moltz gone for the season :frowning: That is quite possibly a crucial moment in our club's season as well.

It's not a crucial moment in the club's season, we've still got Galloway and Tuiaki to come back on top of the team who has just won 3 on the trot so think again before you say something like that
