I'm glad we let him go ...he is so overrated

Paps
Tedesco
Addo-Carr
Korobetti
Moses
Suli to an extent
We would be in a good spot if we hung on to all these guys and that's just the backs

Best player in the world barely gets a mention in here.

I would rather have Paps in my team if I had to choose between Paps and Tedesco

It’s getting closer but I’d still rather Teddy. I think he’s one of the few players in the game that can lift an ordinary team. Paps adds X factor to already good teams IMO.

You can’t say that because you have seen Tedesco in an ordinary side. You haven’t seen Paps.

Saw him in 20s. Also saw Tedesco in 20s. Teddy had a much bigger impact. That's all we have to go off. I've never seen a team depend on one player as much as we did for that period.

played golf today with some of the oakhill college coaches Paps old school and said G'day to Paps old man, hear them again talking to his old man saying if tedesco had said he was leaving tigers we would have never let him go, he thought he would never get a run behind Teddy.
Damn he came good at Storm

Tedesco was confirmed to be leaving on May 4 2017. ([source](https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-05-04/tedesco-moves-to-sydney-with-roosters-switch-confirmed/8496120))

Then Papenhuzyen was announced as a Melbourne signing on May 5 2017. ([source](https://www.zerotackle.com/storm-sign-exciting-youngster-26736/))

Melbourne really rubbed it in back then. Lament away.

You know it’s not just our club that this sort of thing happens to, though the media will lead you to believe we are the only ones.

Damien Cook and Michael Liccha were both behind Michael Ennis at the Dogs, so the Dogs let Cook walk because they preferred Liccha and then Ennis left to join the Sharks anyway, and won the Premiership with them the same year.

Never once have I heard commentators say oh wow the Dogs made a huge mistake letting Ennis & Cook go and lambasting them for it like they do WT about both Tedesco and Papenhyuzen leaving.

Oh and here’s just a small list of the players that the Cowboys have let slip through their fingers in recent years also - Kaylyn Ponga, Jahrome Hughes, Felise Kaufusi, Brandon Smith & Viliame Kikau. I’m sure they could use some of these guys right about now.

If it were a level playing field I would agree. It is not as we know and the impact of the loss of Papenhuyzen is immense. I write that because Tedesco was gone. He was not interested in remaining a WT.

I don’t negate that he’s a great loss for us, I’m just pointing out that we aren’t the only team who are feeling the loss of a great player gone elsewhere. Imo, Cook is a bigger loss for the Bulldogs at this stage than Papenhyuzen is for us. A good dummy half is so important to a team and the Dogs have been searching for a decent 9 since he and Ennis left without success.

Gee Teddy had a chance to lift an ordinary team when he was here, and how did that work out?

And he did. Problem was he was in a team with Jordan Rankin, Kyle Lovett and Joel Edwards. He’s only one man but he carried us.

Carried us to the Holy Grail that is 9th spot.
Was thinking today when Tedesco was with our club how many times he was smashed around the head (sometimes walloped out of the game like the Ryan James incident). Since he's become a player for a golden child of the NRL that has never happened. (Maika Sivo collision was purely accidental). Coincidence? Mmmm, not so sure.

That’s true. Would have made the finals that year until he broke his jaw.

Won’t be long til Laurie gets that same treatment.

It’s no coincidence that QLDers show a total disregard for professional respect for an elite Blue.
