The Wolfman...

Williams being pushed out by Manly apparently. I'd sign him no worries - I think he is a good player who could really benefit from a change of scenery and add much needed depth in the backs. I don't think the betting thing is a huge deal and I'm sure he won't do it again. in any case, they could have a clause in the contract that any betting equals termination.

what do you think?

Yep sign him now … Any things got to be better than what we are plodding along with at the moment !

The key to our next premiership is within the club mate. We don't need any players from other clubs, as soon as Potter can promote Fine or Taukafa we will be happy. Do not forget we already have a gun centre in Simona.

Simona is NOT a gun centre, and Taukafa and fine are completely unproven.

The odds of either going on to be NRL stars if fairly low.
I dont think people realise how very low the number is of people who make that transition.

You must of missed the beggining of the Canberra game when he was playing his preffered position..

thats cool. people both for and against.

milky, if the club is not open to even just looking outside the club, they will find things very tough. and experience doesnt just materialise. with anasta and fulton both gone next year, there are very few players with much experience left.

its great to have such talented youngsters, but there is always so much you can learn from older players. hopefully pat richards will play on and be as good next year as he has this.

Apparently the Wolfman was betting on himself to be leading try scorer.

If thats true then i dont see a lot wrong with that at all .. Fair game
NRL sees it the other way for players betting on their own team games though

I have been watching Grand Finals since 1977 and the Wolfman's performance last year was the worse I have ever witnessed.

I would not sign him.

I don't have problems with players betting on matches. They could always have a relative or friend bet on their behalf. Too hard to police.

I also think it would be hard to rig an NRL game. Maybe exotic betting could be banned but again hard to police.

He has dropped right off form wise. It would be a gamble hoping he can recapture where he was. Combine that with the fact he must be a stone cold moron for betting on game using his own TAB account, and I say pass.

He is clearly a first grader, and some one will pick him up, probably Cronulla or the Raiders, but we dont need a winger, we need a centre, only spot we lack depth.
