There really is a God

I have to admit that it is my fault that the Wests Tigers are in the poor position that they find themselves in. Not just this year either.

I am really sorry. I apologise to all WT supporters for my selfish behaviour.

In hindsight, I shouldn't have prayed to God the night of the 2005 grand final. In a moment of weakness and complete selfishness I asked God that night, that if my Wests Tigers won, then I wouldn't care if they never won a premiership ever again.

I just wanted to win THAT game, THAT premiership! All my son's in-laws are Cowboy supporters - it was pride and 'pride cometh before a fall'

Please? How do I redeemeth myself?

But my son, God has sent Jesus to coach us from temptation and lead us to the road to glory.

I just came back from church. Firstly, there is a god.

Secondly, he is a just God. It's not your pray that got our Tigers into this position, it's what we have done with the free will that God grants us all.

Bad decisions, bad results.

Very true on both points

People in 2009 ,2010 and 2011 decided they wanted results now , took short cuts with the cap and signings and didn't give a damn what would happen in the future

The future is now and we all have to deal with it

Now the hard work begins to dig us out of this hole

No short cuts this time thanks , I'll wait for us to do it the old fashioned way thanks and not sell us short to the next generation of WT's supporters :sign:

Yeah agree Happy.
Fancy those barstools wanting results in 09, 10 & 11!
I also agree with no short cuts. Wests Tigers have learnt that we have to endure years of pain to eventually be successful in the NRL.

Don't dare follow the Roosters plan of cellar dwellers one year and grand finalists the next.

Again, I have to agree with you - it will take us another generation before we enjoy success.

No…that proves that Theories exist.....Much like cq's

Wow the most sensitive topic in all of society popping up on our beloved forum. Once taking about homosexuals was taboo. Now it's the implications of Gods existence that is taboo.

There is merely clues suggesting God exists, there is no conclusive proof.

For me there are more clues suggesting God exists than clues that suggest that he doesn't exist.

It is an extraordinary act of faith to say he doesn't exist. Admirably it's still an act of faith to say he exists, there is just more things to use to build your faith based position on.

There are some fantastic books on the subject.

My two favourites:
The reason for God
The case for Christ

The fact that life will get in the way of most of you ever focusing on figuring out what you believe is proof in itself that God exists and also unfortunately that the negative does too. The highest risk / reward question in life yet the hardest to focus on answering

Yes, there is

Where's the evidence?

Where is the evidence that a god doesn't exist?

The onus is on the believer to prove existence not the non believer.

So the Big Bang was raised above. I humbly pass on what Francis Collins observed as a hint that God exists:

When you look from the perspective of a scientist at the universe it looks as if it new we were coming. There are 15 constants: gravitational constant, various constants about the strong and weak nuclear force etc that have precise values. If any one of these constant's was off by even one part in 1 million, or in some cases, by one party in 1 million million, the universe could not have actually come to the point where we see it. Matter would not have been able to coalesce, there would have been no galaxy, stars, planets or people.

Or how about Steven Hawkins

The odds against a universe like ours are emerging out of something like the big bang are enormous. I think there are clearly religious implications.

Clues that God exists?

It's typical of this forum that the true intent of a post is turned on its head by others with their own agendas.

And once again, true to the forum, we tend to disagree on everything.

Hahaa The case for christ, lee strobel. My father in law who is a Lutheran pastor gave me that book, what a laugh, if thats the best you've got, you in trouble. Im keen to debate you or anyone else on this forum who wants to make outrageous claims about things they can't provide evidence for, all day.
