Pascoe is not part of the Football department.

I remember the media murdered the board at the time when Cleary left to coach his son, I mean what could they have done. I'm sure during the interview process the question was asked, Nathan was in grade maybe even a loose proposition was given that Nathan would be with us. But when Nathan didn't budge and Cleary senior departed we heard the board didn't have the "smarts" as was heard during the failed negotiations with the so called big 4 with a now deregistered manager.

All the board can do on the football side is select a good coach and football department and delegate football matters to them.
I initially thought Maguire was the best available at the time and liked Badgers appointment on refereeing matters and latterly Sheens appointment.. Things sadly are not working out at least yet..

You completely missed my point. I said Lee should not be offering his opinion of the roster when he had just asked the CEO to review the footy department. Why have a review when you have made that opinion public? Won’t the review potentially find that the players lack any real pride?

Two things can be true at once.

Separately, Justin is part of the problem.

Quite possibly but should be kept completely separate from a review of the football department.

I am sure Pascoe would have a performance review every year. It is quite possible that this has already happened or is scheduled to happen towards the end of the year.

WT don’t have a semifinals roster.
WT have been managed poorly for a decade.
Head coach has tried to get short term results out of a long term plan…. The only problem is “there is no long term plan”.
“If there is a plan”, WT have taken a while to get started. WT haven’t achieved anything in the past three years, there is still 10 years infront of WT.
Tim Sheens appointment is the start of a long term plan.
Need to build from within (Strong reference to Campbelltown and Group 6) and supplement by plucking the best talent from outside the catchment.

Edit: my take, we have started to do the re-investment in developing junior pathways and developing players into first graders. However, our end of season review needs to include looking and the management positions above the Head Coach rather than being conducted by those positions.

I’m actually happy that we’re getting grilled in the media It’s like a bit of an external review
The internal review will bring some change but the so called nrl experts in the media could influence bigger change at the club
2022 might not be a bad year after all 😂

Lee is a lawyer, that’s says it all.

I have no gripes with lawyers but him holding up Tommy’s #7 was it for me.

It means he knows little about ***what makes a good Rugby League roster.*** Spent all his time going up the Lawyer ranks, which doesn’t leave much time for understanding Rugby League. He’s a fan who gives us money, that’s all.

ummm....no, that is **exactly** the job of the Board and as the spokesperson for the Board, the Chairman. The Chief *Executive* Officer (CEO) executes the policies of the board and the request of the board (which is obviously required) is that the football department , which is failing on all measurable accounts, should be reviewed. Pascoe is not part of the Football department.

If the board was NOT reviewing the football department at the moment there would be something wrong.

My argument is that it is exactly his job to ask the CEO to review the footy department.

Pascoe is not part of the Footy department, he is the executive officer of the board. He would be reviewed as a review of the board and management.

I'm a little interested in any previous years we've conducted them and found an old article which mentions an independent consultant for the 2016 season.

That would have been when M.Go was chairman and she understood what integrity and impartiality meant,sadly we don't have her now.
