Tigers interested in RTS

From what I've been told talks are progressing very well.

Good to hear you are usually on the ball. RTS would one of the first players we attract sought after by numerous teams. Aside from the player it would be a good sign that the days of quality players avoiding WT are over.

Good point about being the first highly sought after player to sign here, would change the landscape completely for us

Why do some always assume players we are negotiating with can get an early release.

Probably because of the Moses clause. But it is a bit ridicules and the NRL need to do something about it. Maybe an early player release cap fee.

You need a letter from your dad to invoke the Moses clause.

Ahh if we could manage to nab Cleary and RTS for 19’

1\. RTS
6\. Reynolds
7\. Cleary
9\. Brooks/Liddle

Because they can if both parties agree.

Why would the Warriors agree? I just don’t understand why it’s asked every time we are linked to a player.

I think it's more the hope and impatience of fans rather than an actual reality. When the possibility of us snaring a marquee player comes along, we'd rather it happen right now than in another year or two.

Well I’d say the odds are Buckley’s and none of the Warriors releasing their captain a year early.

I think we all need to remember that Brian Smith is involved with the Warriors

That could change a lot of things

Good point, they'd be in contention for the spoon with the Brian Smith and Kearney duo.

Could be Kearney's last season.

Or in Mitchell Moses case a letter from uncle Ben (Dover)

Not to say Reynolds, Matulino, Packer, McQueen and others weren't good signings I rate them all. Just most times we get unwanted, previously injured or pay big dollars for Good but not great players. On the other side the Roosters pay unders for rep level players consistently.

I would assume that all/ any clubs negotiating with RTS would see that it was going well - thats a managers job. And the club is not going to put out anything other than that - it could possibly damage the talks.
Will be very happy if it happens but will believe it when and if it becomes official, otherwise it is so far away from what is going to happen this season.

Little bit of news off the net
We know about RTS but but check out Eroni Clarke
I know he is a little older now but his time over 100 meters was fast
Might be worth a look at although it looks like union is in his blood

Tuivasa-Sheck is reportedly unhappy at the Warriors and has been linked to the Blues and NRL rivals Wests Tigers in recent weeks, and he has not denied considering a move.

Clarke, the son of former All Black Eroni Clarke, was a handful throughout the two-day Brisbane Tens event and has a massive future. The 107kg flyer — who clocked 11 seconds for the 100 metres when he was just 15 —

He may have been mentioned before but what do you guys think

Well what do you mean? Is there a suggestion he's an option? Is he even available?

It's pointless speculating about a kid with zero interest in swapping codes. If he's any good you'd think the rah rah brigade have him locked up.
