Tigers Players Praise Taylor Over Farah Feud

Don't like as a player and I'm an old Wests supporter, I remember when Warren Ryan dumped him where did he go straight too yep the media, I'm a unabashed robbie supporter, Taylor is a s*** coach I would to no how many players will this club attract with Taylor at the helm for the next few years…..... None

If we make the 8 this year and give the finals a good shake next year we'll become a very attractive proposition. Players will go where the success is. If we can afford them and offer sustained competition in the finals, they will come.

One thing I'll give Taylor is that consider the Pottergate affair: look what happened after that was outed, we completely capitulated and fell well out of the race. Conversely JT and Farah have been banging heads since day dot it is supposed, and when the situation has hit it's most tumultuous point, JT has managed to get the team ready to compete and win games. It's seen that he can motivate the players to want to win despite what is happening in the locker room.

If we are competing for the 8? I'm sure players will want to come especially with players like Tedesco, Woods, Moses at the helm.

If we make the 8 this year or next? It will be interesting to see if Jason Taylor has a Coaching job past next year? Don't remember where I read that Moses chances of staying beyond next year is subject to who is Coaching us.

If Jason Taylor isn't signed past next year even after making the 8 this year or next? Well that will answer the questions what the Club think of Jason Taylor.

If Moses decides he wants to leave because he's not satisfied with who the coach is, then it's goodbye Moses in my books. Going back to a club run by the players is the last thing we need. The players (or more to the point the players managers) should shut the hell up and either play for the team, the club and the fans and be guided by the chosen coach or leave and throw their weight around elsewhere. Unfortunately for them, they'll find out pretty quickly, that it doesn't work that way.

The media has been running a campaign over a feud between the ex-captain and coach for far too long. A bit like the Marshall and Farah feud years ago that was obviously bollocks.

A friend of mine is a media manager for another club and let it be known, that at every media function/event, Chewbacca ensures he talks loudly enough for all to hear about how bad Robbie is. But it's all rubbish and it gets printed/reported.

Robbie might not be every ones favourite person. From a Tiger Fan, he deserves as much respect for what he has done both on and off the field (including taking pay cuts to keep the youngsters, charity and volunteer work). A shame his name is rubbished both in the media and in this forum.

Who can honestly say that the current SOO dummy half cannot improve the performance of our team? Only our coach. Every other expert seems to disagree with our coach.

It really is staggering the amount of grown adults i've seen since Sunday who have stamped their feet like a child and crossed their arms or have reacted with fingers in their ears saying "la la la JT still can't coach".

You must be hanging around some very strange places

Not really. The bulk of those people make their feelings known on social media.

It was more the visual of many grown men stamping their feet with their arms crossed, fingers in their ears going la la la - not something I thought you would "see" regularly on a forum or on Facebook ,- but if you are referring to those who's opinion of JT being not able to coach - yep I have read posts by many of those.

That's the visual I get when I hear quips about JT not being able to coach.. It's getting old. Starting to become clear he's not the problem some people thought he was.

Taking a punt that he means Woodsy.

Chewbacca as in Gordon Tallis?

Could you enlighten me on the amount of pay that was cut from his earnings?

It was a pay cut at the time which was remunerated in his last contract.

Any of these experts first grade coaches?

What amazes me is how many people believe this stuff. It's like the line that the crowd were cheering Taylor on the weekend. I mean come on. That stuff annoys me.

This thread is another example of the bollocks that the media come up with.

I think the decision just comes down to getting ET into the team. The club feels we can do without Robbie but we need ET.

Robbie deserves some respect though and the stories made up on here and in the media are in my opinion BS.

Then it's not a pay cut. It's an agreement to defer payment.

i'm an ET fan, but we did alright without him against the Cowboys for the majority of the game

Yep. It was interesting wasn't it.

I love ET and hope to death we keep him, but not sure if his role has changed or he is carrying an injury, just seems a bit quiet the last couple of weeks. I thought Grant really stepped up, he was going backwards against the eels, but really pushed the defensive line last week.

It's just sad that he falls out with all our Coach's. If he got along and followed orders,he'd have been given a farewell to rival Wayne Pearce's in 1990\. It's a shame, Menzies and Hindmarsh and Minichiello are revered at their Clubs, but Robbie is a different character. Since our inception,he's our greatest player.

Grant was coming off that nasty head knock ,I'm not surprised he was sub par against the Eels

ETs style of play is ripe for injuries. It's great for our game, just not sure how long he can sustain that style of play before the injury gods chop him down.

Fox sports > Moses; "The 21-year-old revealed coach Jason Taylor had given him four simple words of encouragement: “This is your team.’’

“I’ve been working closely with JT and he’s been massive for my game,’’ Moses said of Taylor."

**This is your team.** Perhaps this was the problem with RF and cohesion. Farah wouldn't have liked control being wrested from him and having to take a subordinate role in his 'beloved' WT. Not your team anymore Robbie, time to move on.

Yeah although I am not sure if his last contract had yet been signed, so I assume if he went elsewhere he'd have been shortchanged. I'm happy to be corrected if that was not the timeline, details are sketchy as we only found out about this after the story first broke about Farah being asked to move on.
