Tigers Set to Sign Kiwi International Brown

New Zealand representative Lewis Brown is set to sign a two-year deal with the Wests Tigers from 2016.

Brown was previously contracted to the Tigers but couldn’t crack a first grade spot before making his name as a utility player for the Warriors.

The current Panther has played seven games for the Kiwis and appeared in the 2011 Grand Final for the Warriors.

Not sure how reliable they are but i have seen it mentioned around here but no thread just yet would be a handy pick up should mean the end of Halatau

Good signing if true, where he plays, well that is depending on how Lovett finishes this season.

Goes OK….lets get Sam Moa back too eh?

I think he is an upgrade on what we have right now ink, Liolevave has been terrible in NSW Cup. We have no better options and signing a NZ Rep is a step in the right direction.

How much NSW Cup have you seen this year?

P.S Draft game, your go.

I had completely forgotten he played lower grades for us.

He has been very handy in the back row for a few years now.

Just another reason to hate Tim Sheens. My god his recruiting and retention was abysmal.

Seriously, how could he not see that he would turn into a decent back rower.

I am happy with the signing, with Halatau and possibly Lawrence moving on at the end of this season we will need his experience.

He can make some really stupid decisions at crucial times

He made one in the semi when he decided to go from dummy half on the 6th with a loaded backline and did something similar in a Test Match

Love his workrate , but I worry about the brain snaps

Now whilst I know Moley isn't exactly right all the time, he tends to have an idea of what is going on.

I asked him what his info on this was.

Makes sense… they want a centre/backrower

He has denied it apparently

Take of it as you want.

Who did Sheens let go who went onto better things? Apart from Brown, who has only really been a fringe first grader for ten years, the only other I can think of is Fifita and his attitude stunk. Moa has done okay but he struggled to play first frade at Sharks before going to England.

Clubs lose players of the calibre of Lewis Brown every year. Look at our side. Tapau, Naqaima both couldnt crack first elsewhere and have killed it here.

Happens every year.
