I think we are looking at about $300k that we will be able to get, if we do the same with Packer that should give us $600k to spend on 2 players. If we are smart we should be able to pick up a couple of players that will be an to us if we target areas of weakness.

He's just being honest. Seems like a guy that genuinely feels loyalty and even though he sold himself out it's not something he wanted to do and it took a hell of a price. I agree that we shouldn't have signed him but I don't think he's shown a lack of commitment or effort here...

he has said nothing more than what benji and robbie said when they came back home, just they waited till they got back home.

If we can get clubs to take on Packer, Matulino & Reynolds at 200k a year & McQueen on 100k, we can then go out in the market & get good players. We will just have to massively backend their contracts.

NRL has stated they will no longer accept massively backended contracts, which is a good thing!

Brooks got the ball , crapped himself and threw it to Magic Mike ..

With Reynolds maybe going back to the dogs, how about a player swap? Say Raymond Faitala-Mariner for Reynolds and we pay the difference.

@WeHaveCheeKam For that meagre return we keep them and play them when they regain fitness.
Well have enough in next years Cap without that to buy some quality and / or young talent.
With players which are leaving or have left already there will be between $1-$1.5M available.

Wish there was accountability somehow, Ivan should be sued, and the people who oversaw him should also be sacked.

Anyway 500k. That’s the number we will pay up to of his contract I’ve been told. Also apparently next year his contract goes up to 900k.
