$400,000 is a lot of money for a cashed strapped club but this is it, our chance to entrench ourselves in two local communities and grow with those communities, especially Campbo.

We are slowing getting towards positive ground- how much of a difference in $$$ would be there if Balmain didnt go belly up? I'd like to see WA debenture system gone and expand ops and $$$ with Campbelltown, especially with Leichhardt out of commission for a year or two (noting timetables almost always slip). Getting Campbelltown more involved can only help. I'd eventually like to see only 1 x inner city leagues club (not a Balmain and a Wests Ashfield- just one) and Campbelltown club.

Agree with your sentiment, But to nit pick - Panthers feeder team used to be Windsor - and they did indeed play out of a suburban park.

Thats going back a while mate. Its been the panthers since 2014. Been there a few times myself!

Unless they win it doesn’t matter about juniors and pathways and all that stuff. If they don’t win none of the juniors will want to play for us and the pathways ultimately becomes a failure. There backing on it despite a poor win record. Very risky move which the odds of backfiring are very very high.

I didn't compare the two clubs, 'blueprint' means that we should try and copy.

And obviously some things will never be the same but there are things that are alike, the junior program and engagement with the local community could be the same.

You may disagree but I think our junior pathways system is our best bet to getting out of this mess and I'm very happy the CEO is focusing on that.

And maybe, just maybe if HBG start to see the positive outcomes from this they'll chuck in more than the current 1.8m a year.

Obviously we can’t abandon it outright but if the club is serious about making finals, then it comes down to 2 choices. Either they turn the win record around, or play majority of its home games at Leichhardt. Like I said I get why they want to make this area work, but given its already poor track record the odds of failure are very high.

Yes, but really the only consistent place we’ve had wins lately has been Leichhardt. Not every game obviously but on average it’s been our best ground to win. The top 4 do both at home and away, but safe to say majority of their wins would be from home. Warriors this year won 10 from 12 at home and the rest were away wins but anyway the plan to play finals by making Campbelltown it’s more played at home ground is going to be very difficult to pull off. They keep losing there than they have to win on the road which is easier said than done to just make the 8.
