Tim Simona - Deregistered

Does anyone actually believe he has a gambling addiction? I don't see any evidence. Just an opportunist who wanted to make some easy money.. Was obviously well thought out. Glad this saga is over now and our team might realise it's full potential without being held back by someone potentially helping our opposition every week.

Mate…if you cannot see the evidence i dunno what youre looking at?

He wanted to make easy money?
He was earning 6 figure sums....hed be getting 3 and maybe 4 figure sums for the jerseys.
Insane? yep.
Not normal? yep
Deception, lying, stealing, cheating, embezzlement, fraud....its all the hallmarks of a gambling addict.

This is insane behaviour, the denial of an addict is that for a while he sees nothing wrong with what hes doing....that probably passed him some time ago

Hes hit rock bottom now...I hope he gets the help he needs...fmd Matt Lodge is.

I mean, there's nothing malicious there, so I don't think there should be any issues posting this -

Having said that the time stamps bar the last one are off-season.. Must be a long off season sometimes… :frowning:

Far out….......just his grammar is a criminal offence in itself. Definitely not the brightest spark, that is blatantly obvious.
Scumbag. Wonder what his ex-teammates think of him now. Woods looked pretty peeved when talking about the whole issue this week on NRL 360.

I hope he gets the help he badly needs, because he will be needing a lot of support at this time.

As a Wests Tigers supporter I am disgusted in Simona's actions now proven and have no issue with the penalty handed down…having said that I hope he gets help he obviously needs

Cant believe how many people hope that the club helps him through this "tough period".
He'll be lucky if joe public doesnt rearrange his face for him.

He pretended to raise money for camp quality…CAMP QUALITY!! Then pocketed it and spent it betting his opponent would score and his team would lose. Just outrageous that some are concerned with his welfare.

I doubt you'd be signing that tune if, upon realising how much he's f'ed up his life, he goes and tops himself.

No one is saying that what he did is any in any way excusable.

We all screw up at some time in life Stryker , I still hope he can turn his life around and become a contributing member of society , maybe even come back and talk to young players coming through and explain the dangers behind the punt

If he does its just another indication of his selfishness. Id feel sorry for those close to him only, but not as much as the kids with cancer and their families he used. Really hope there's some criminal charges in there somewhere.

Wests Tigers 2016 - what could have been.

If there is any possibility that Simona could have made the difference, between us winning that one extra point we needed for a finals berth, and missing by one point then I am absolutely filthy!! What a difference a finals would have made to the WT club !!!
But agree with others he needs help.

Yeah cant wait for the tearful interview on Sterlo….

Tim's actions are definitely inexcusable and he should be hit with the harshest penalties that the NRL can hit him with. In saying that, I think that if the NRL are going to end his career, they need to make sure he gets every possible help to get his life back on track. I hope every NRL player, present and future, learn from this very sad situation.

If he is old enough to rip of charities and his own team, then he is old enough to look after himself.

:brick:

Disgusting in the extreme to rip off worthy charities the other stuff is terrible but robbing charities is so much worse in my opinion. He needs to sort out his life real quick his gambling addiction will end up with him being in the morgue unless he beats it.
He completely deserves never to play NRL again for his actions.

I think it's fair to say that if he needs professional help, then he should seek it himself. It's not the clubs problem that he's chosen to do what he's done. Maybe he could use all the cash he made in his business dealings.
Im sure he needs help and I hope he gets it, but I can't see why the club that gave him everything should give him more when he completely shafted them.

I agree 100% with Stryker.
Would I feel upset if Simona "topped himself"?
No I wouldn't. Why should I?

Any addict will do almost anything to feed their habit. That is the definition of addiction.
For those of us who are reasonably mentally healthy, Simona's actions seem unforgivable. But addiction is as much a disease as cancer or HIV Aids and needs to be treated. Unfortunately, unless the addict wants to be treated, nothing can be done for them.

I hope Tim now voluntarily seeks help for this disease. And I hope both the Wests Tigers and the NRL make sure he gets it. He's going to need a lot of help to beat this. I guess he's about to find out who his real friends are. I wish him well. It'll be a long hard road.

I'd bet he's probably close to being broke

I understand addiction is a disease but 100% disagree that the NRL nor the Wests Tigers should spend 1 second or 1 cent helping him. Not their problem. He has damaged both organisations. The Tigers should have spat in his face and the NRL should have banned him for life.
