Time for Benji Marshall to retire. A summary of his round 21 game vs the Bulldogs:
* Dumb penalty which led to a try.
* Intercept pass which directly led to a try.
* 20 hospital passes.
* Kicking game was worse than Ben Roberts in his prime.
* No running game, which for a 6 is Darius Boyd-like.
* Brought zero energy. Considering he was our captain after Mbye went off, that's the most disappointing part.

He should've shown some leadership at the end there and taken the goal kick himself. It was irresponsible to allow Momirovski to take that kick.

I was with friends of Reynolds at the game tonight. He may be at Newcastle next year. He’s not happy they believe Madge is wrapping him in cotton wool so that he’s not injured again before any move.

Ridiculous if true. Was never a great fan of Josh coming here and particularly on an obviously inflated contract, but he has only played in a few games this year and pretty sure he was MOM in two of them.

Sheens had Morris at halfback, and then asked benji to organise, it never really worked out, but it wasn't all Marshall's fault that he wasn't really able to play his natural game. He adjusted tried his best but it didn't work out.

2011 another good year
2012 Tigers imploded
2013 Mick Potter happened
2014-17 Benji not here
2018-19 We want to blame these two years on Benji Marshall?

What's happened since 2005 is a huge amount of mismanagement, with boards replacing boards and coaches flying out the window, and prior to his return he was away for about four years. How'd we go then? If the club had money and better management he'd have gone on to win a lot more for us. In what he's done for us irrespective of that, he's brilliant.

I feel for Benji. We have no x factor players since we let them all walk out the door (not including Tedesco in this). The pressure on the inside backs to manufacture opportunities because our outside backs are incapable of doing it must be immense.

To be fair, he made up for it with the last try..and possibly looked like the only one that could get us going. The same cannot be said for the other half who is yet to prove to me that he is capable of leading this team. Ever.

when you have a supposedly "senior player" over calling you, then how can Brooks prove he can do something... Benji in the side is to the detriment of Brooks managing a team
