TNT - Any News

If they want to spend cash, spend it on bringing back mighty mouse, Shannon Gallant he would be better value than the ex hush puppy.

Well im sorry to disappoint you all but its a done deal as long as he passes his medical. All i'd be worried about is him under the high ball. He's a premiership winning winger who 10 metres out is almost impossible to stop. He has scored 71 tries in 124 career matches thats up ther with the best strike rates.

Who is your source on this? At the moment all I'm seeing is smoke and mirrors.

maybe a few years back - Not our type of player and we have heaps that are younger and more deserving of the chance to fight for any free spot in the top squad.

Matthew Utai
Born 25 May 1981 (age 29)
Bulldogs 2002–09: 124 games, 71 trys, 284 points.
He originally signed the Crusaders Super League club for 2010 but failed to recover from a knee injury.
He would have signed with the Wests Tigers but Welsh Super League club Crusaders would have demanded a compensation fee of $130,000 for 2010.

I'm not completely sold on the Utai "deal" a few weeks ago Riddell was signed and sealed and that fell through.
Although the fact that we tried to sign him 12 months ago is a little concerning.
Only thing we can do from here is wait and see what happens…

I agree 100% ..spot on….

Folkes certainly recommended Utai to the club for 2010 - but given he played a combination of CRL & A-grade since then I find it hard to believe we are looking at him seriously!!

But for those who bag Sheensy for playing favorites with certain players - as you can see Folkesy has a similar affliction (as do 99% of coaches in every sport)!

I was talking about this the other day…. It sometimes easier to go with what you know than try a young flairy player. Many bagged John Morris being selected week after week, but one thing is for certain, John gave his sole every game, made his tackles & stuck to the games plan he was 'given'. While he didnt look too great like Benji, he probably won many players players awards, and this is why coach's stick to tried players over young talented bucks.

im pretty sure i read somewhere last year the Utai deal fell through last year because the english club he left wanted a transfer fee.
either way any player who plays for the tigers as long as gives 100% i will support it not there fault if the coaches pick them

I am not going to believe anything I read in this thread until something is official from the club! IMO he will be back!!!!!!!!! Tell us your source Cogger?

Plenty of posters on here with huge numbers but not much credibility. Go figure!
