Just for the sake of signing someone.

Why not use the money from Tuiaki to upgrade Lawrence, Murdochs or Fifitas contract. Would much rather keep them than gain a neverbeen like Utai

Never been a fan of Utai. Always thought he was a passenger in a team that made him look better than what he was. Nevertheless, if we do sign him and he plays, I will cheer him on. Folkesy obviously sees something in him that we all don't.
What I can't fathom is that we have outside backs coming out of our proverbial, and the club wants to spend what little cap space they have on another winger (an ageing winger at that?) We have Brown, Latu, Ryan and even Daniela could play out wide if needed (he is a right centre so sliding onto the right wing wouldn't be a stretch.) And then we have the state cup wingers & NYC.
Save the pennies for contract upgrades or an actual value-for-money signing.

…I honestly cannot understand why we would. He came back to the CRL for a reason. Obviously no other club wants him.
Someone has alluded to this on another thread already that Sheens could be throwing up a smokescreen as well. Until Troy reports otherwise its business as usual.

Well im sorry to disappoint you all but its a done deal as long as he passes his medical. All i'd be worried about is him under the high ball. He's a premiership winning winger who 10 metres out is almost impossible to stop. He has scored 71 tries in 124 career matches thats up ther with the best strike rates.

71 Tries from 124 Games is hardly that flash. Its not up there with the Morris, Blacklock, Stewart, Renouf & the Falou of the game…
And if he was such a try scoring machine, why dont the Bulldogs keep him?
