To all the Balmain folk.

The following I'm stating is with best wishes, hoping for the best towards your club and I mean it from the bottom of my heart.

Let's face it, your going to find it hard to pay your debt, you might lose your share in the WT.

I'd propose the same to the Magpies if we hit the same hurdle.

I propose 2000 people come up with $2000 dollars. This equals $4 million. Repay the debt.

In return you get a seat for life at all games. One seat on the board goes to you guys. You vote one person from the 2000 to represent your view. Do it by ballot. No one can hold more than I ticket. Ticket is not transferable. Ticket cannot be sold . Balmain can offer to buy back your ticket at double the cost, should they become financial, but the seat remains yours. Should someone pass on, Balmain get first preference to buy ticket back, if they choose not to, person can pass on ticket after approval from other ticket holders.
Anyway there is other fine tuning involved but we'll leave it at that.
I hope all works out.

I would rather just concentrate on Wests Tigers and let the fossils whither and die rather then sullying the names of two once great clubs with their petty, pedantic feuds and pipe dreams.

Gut the entire board, sell to the owner of Salford and play every game out of ANZ stadium save two boutique games a year at LO & CSS schedule permitting. Grow the club for the long term with the aim of being an essential powerhouse rather then the pathetic extension of two utter failures of Rugby League businesses and the maggot and hangers on that all of that brings with them

Not having a dig at the OP either, just to make that clear. I am just so very sick of all the worthless factional bullshit that the two founding clubs seem to bring as baggage.

Forget about me and those my age and concentrate on those 15 or under who only know Wests Tigers and couldn't give a flying [This word has been automatically removed] about Balmain or Wests

I'm loving it personally. Finally the underdog is having it's day. Balmain had the run of the show and now Wests are gathering some momentum. The sooner the Magpies are flying high the better.

The Magpies supporters have been raising funds for the RMC, memberships to the Wests Magpies are skyrocketing. Good times !!!!

And so it begins…the Magpies will never come back...

Wests Tigers are the present and the future..

Who are Balmain? I left them behind years ago. Same with Wests Magpies. To me they don't exist in top flight rugby league anymore and i don't want them to either. Wests Tigers is my club and every decision made is made with Wests Tigers in mind.

the 1st game of football I ever watched was the 1969 grandfinal when we came to aust, I remember how they all said the Balmain tigers would get beaten by souths. I went for the under dog that day and have support the tigers for near on 50 years now my sons support the tigers as do my grand kids. But Balmain has gone and the wests tigers are here to stay I hope, I will always have a soft spot for Balmain , but we all must move on, lets face it neither can survive without the other. Long live the weststigers.

These posts represent the core problem with the club at the moment and the longer this happens then the longer we have to put up with the garbage. The sooner clubs, boards, fans etc get on board with Wests Tigers rather than the Balmain or Wests the better, the game won't go back to Wests or Balmain the NRL won't allow it from a demographic point of view and potentially loose a whole generation of fans who simply know Wests Tigers.

The best thing that could happen is that everything that is Wests or Balmain or any affiliate of that gets rebranded Wests Tigers and runs from that with everything feeding into Wests Tigers. Rather than pandering to either side and worrying about logos, names, leagues clubs everything then becomes Wests Tigers and as such everyone will have no choice but to back the 1 entity.

Take it from a 21 year old wests tigers supporter who doesn't give a shit about balmain or wests.. As soon as this club is no longer known as the wests tigers, the club will lose at least 50% of its supporter base will eventually crumble to make way for a team in perth. Why cant we all just accept the wests tigers as our club for gods sake and move on as one !

Over the last week or two ive come to the conclusion that our club will never reach its potential because our board, administration, captain and our SUPPORTERS are more worried about destroying our club and/or whinging about it rather than striving for success

I had to sign in just like this post.
I'll never understand how people even now still can't let go of the 1900's. Neither team is coming back so suck it up and support WT or move on to supporting someone else, nobody needs this kind of rubbish.

Im pretty sure 99% of people within the JV now think along these lines.I do respect Genoshans comments cause previously wests did cop a raw deal but the FACTS now are they dont.So without trying to flan the fires of fossils lets all just love the wests tigers for the wests tigers.

Did I read somewhere recently there mighjt be approx 700 football club members for balmain & magpies combined.
Lets say for arguments sake 400 of those are balmain voting members….you'd be lucky to get half of that figure coughing up $2000-, let alone the figure it would need to increase by per person to reach your debt repayment figure
Pushin poo uphill with pointy stick

I don't see how magpies had a raw deal in the beginning! They were saved from extinction which is more then they deserve !!

Ink I wasn't talking about existing members. This would be a totally different group. It might comprise some existing members if they payed up, and it will probably be a good idea to approach these members first. Who gives a [This word has been automatically removed] if most existing members don't cough up the money, there are 2000 share. Is it realistic, well the way some want their club to remain, yes. Is $2000 really that much, knowing you have a seat for life, a say in the running of the club or maybe, just maybe get your money back one day.
Then again they can fold knowing they didn't even try to explore other possibilities. Pushing shit uphill maybe, but not giving a shit.
Tell me would you put up the money for your club?
If it didn't really matter that much, why are so many people on here? If you didn't care, you wouldn't be on here like me everyday, we all care.

Realistic?
2000 people parting with 2 grand each?

OK

Ive got better things to spend $2k on than a footy club Ive watched make the semis 11 times in 44 years

11 times since 1970!!!

Ive bought memberships for the last 6 or 7 years, been member of both Balmain & Magpies FC's…both their leagues clubs too.

Another $2000???

LOL...yeh right
