( Just lopes around, doesn’t have an offload and has not built up over the years, preferring to maintain a ‘night club physique’ —- he should be put on the slippery dip ... then remove the stairs .. so he can’t climb back up).

Why do you think Twal is no good? I mean I don't think he's suited to lock, but he's a good prop.

There is the problem CB...Twal is an out and out prop,because we dont have a quality lock atm he is filling in...not brilliant in the position but honest and does his work...

Twal is statsictally efficient but just not effective. He's too slow. That's it. He doesn't miss or fall off a tackle, but his tackles aren't dominant, don't prevent offloads, and his line speed is poor. He's a solid worker in a prop rotation, but so is Tamou. They're the same player, and the current rules don't suit these sorts of players who lumber along without any energy.

He was great lasr match

He's one of our best forwards. It's hilarious that everyone complains that we can't defend and make too many errors but want to get rid of a forward who never misses tackles and rarely makes errors. Often leads in metres made too.

Teams need work horses. If Amone gets a run it will be in mikaeles spot most likely.

But Twal (along with many of our forwards ) aren't dominant defenders

Getting marched back 3-4 metres with every tackle doesn't make you a good defender ....a good defender can make his 1 on 1 's ...help lead the line speed and can put the attack in 2 minds

We don't have anyone in that mould

The whole team sucks at stopping players and putting them on their back but Twal is still our best defender.

That isn't right. The worst performing player should get dropped. Mikaele has been good for us.

I like Twal as well. He has been good but Mikaele has offered us more. He has at least threatened to punch through the line.

He was good last game but before that he's not stood out to me, hasn't had the impact he should. If he can keep playing like he did against cowboys it's hard to drop him for sure

Not at all.

In NSW Cup games for some reason teams have always so far kicked to his side of the field for dropouts, or kickoffs. He makes 15m per return and his numbers are high as a result. The prop on the other side of the field isn't trying any less that Amone, but just isn't getting the same opportunity to boost his numbers by the ball not coming his way.

If team's kicked too Austin Dias would we be wanting him to play first grade?

But in the end stats are only good for so much. It's Amone leg drive, post contact metres, and different build to all of our other props that mean he would compliment our first graders the best. Utoikamanu, Mikaele, Joffa and Amone all offer different puzzles for opposition defences to solve. Twal, Tamou and Seyfarth are likewise very similar styles. I don't know where musgrove fits, somewhere in between maybe, he doesn't seem to do much.

I think Twal is too robotic.

They can't all be high impact game breakers. You need a workhorse that will do dirty metres and make 35 tackles a game.
