Lolo has agreed to terms. He is on the bus. Soon as he gets the ok he will be here and signed for 2.5 years and playing 6 for the rest of the year.

Should be here very soon.

What all the talk about him being close to joining the Cowgirls?

Don't believe everything you read on here, half of it's crap.

I can confirm and stated previously that the cowboys offer was legit but his career pathway was suited better at WT. the coin difference wasn't massive but tigers definetly offered less than cowboys

Anything else going on in terms of recruitment?

I've just watched a highlights package of Tui again and I'm convinced that there hasn't been such an explosive runner and lightning stepper like him since Benji. He was simply explosive with speed to burn and so much confidence. I really hope that the Tigers can get him fit and confident again. If they can, we really have the X-factor and match winner we need.

I'd be happy if we avoide the spoon. Granted it's rather pessimistic, but givin where we are at no spoon and I'm happy. Had hopes we would make the 8 preseason, but now….

Yep avoiding the spoon is number 1 mission at the moment anything else is a bonus

I would be telling the warriors don't worry about the release, you can keep him we will look elsewhere it is not worth the effort.

That makes a lot of sense. You're basically saying you think the next three weeks are more important to the Tigers than 2018-2020\. I'm bloody glad you aren't running the joint.

Thanks for your thoughts, I was saying Lolo is not a good enough player to jump through this many hoops, we can get someone else

Like who? I dont know about everyone else, seems like youve given up on this year but I still think we can make the 8 and having lolo here will only help our chances

We could get TMM for this year, Hopoa for next year, there are options

Feel sorry for his development his received at warriors. They seem pretty hopeless there.

Signing a guy for 12 games? Id rather we kept Moses. Would rather your mate Rankin.

Why, TMM is better than Moses, and we couldn't keep Moses any way as he was toxic. And Rankin, everyone is better than him. If we want to have a crack at the 8 then TMM makes perfect sense. Then get Hoppa for next year, every week we wait for Tui, and there has been quite a few now, we are getting further from the 8.
I just think from what Tui has shown we are trying way to hard to sign him when there are better players available who would be easier to get

I suppose they find it hard to attract quality staff over there and not much home grown talent. Always going to be a issue for them.

I've always said they can sign as many superstars as they like, i.e Luke, RTS, Foran etc, but they're never gonna go to the next level till they get either Bennett or Bellamy. They should forget spending money on superstars and do everything they can to land on of those 2\. There is only one coach who has truly gotten consistency out of them over several years and we have him, Good for us.

Sadly 851 what chance we had of making the 8 went out the window when a few players decided to concentrate on contract negotiations rather than football, our big test now is to dodge the spoon. So as much as I like TMM, there seems no real point on bringing him on board only to see him cross the ditch at the end of the season and link up with the Warriors. I would be giving the odd player who has a realistic chance of cracking the top grade in 2018 a chance to show their wares, a player like Masters.

Normally I would be down in the dumps about how our season has gone belly flop so early, but some real big positives for the future have emerged out of the wreck..no1 being Cleary

I'd throw up in my mouth if we signed Hoppa.

Why?

Because he's useless and overrated? Never seems to pose any threat at all. Shame, because he was an absolute gun before his 2 year door knocking mission.

I see him as a very solid fullback who, if you get him at the right cash, can just d a job for you.

I agree, he is not particularly threatening.

I would take Hoppa, probably the sort of guy Cleary would like, no ego and a very strong character. As plenty of others have said if we can get him to play sundays I would take him over Dugan,Furgeson or Haynes. Although ideally I would like Lolohea at 1 and Hopo at 4

Not sure why there's a massive push for Hoppa yet total disdain for Hiku.

Not a fan of Hiku, had one good season at Brookvale but hasn't done much since. In saying that he must be a upgrade on what we have now and I noticed SG gave him a rap so maybe his stats tell a different story
