Uate?

Absolutely not. For a quality winger he is about inconsistent as they come.

Surely there should be other options out there??
 
Uate only plays one or maybe two good games a year all of which are usually against us.

If we get him then he won't even have those to fall back on for highlights reel.

I was at Newcastle Wests a few days ago - the knights train there.
The article says he's shunned and training with reggies, etc...
Wowwwww, NOT TRUE.
I saw him with my own eyes training with the first grade squad - in the MORNING.

Journalism? Ha.
 
When we played the Knights at Campbelltown a few weeks ago, I had forgotten he was even on the field til about the 70min mark. He's a shadow of his former self.

Of course we would be! Small winger, past his use by date and has more mistakes in him than he ever had talent - he fits our bill perfectly!

He's 6 feet tall and weighs 100kg - not exactly small.
 
A bloke doesn't get the nickname "stay on your wing Uate" for no reason. This bloke is the definition of poor defensive reads. We already have issues with our wingers and centers defensive reads at time and rushing out of the line and being left in no mans land.

It's a big fat NO from me. You couldn't pay the club enough to take this bloke. How about the club chase a winger like Curtis Rona who is off contract at the Bulldogs. Solid in defense and one of the best finishers in the game.

Yeah he'd be good. He seems to like it at the Dogs though so he'll be hard to get. Worth a try I guess.

Six feet, really? My bad, he seems to be a lot closer to the ground than that :laughing: Oh well, my other 2 points still stand.
 
If they pay 250 and we pay 200 i would be stoked, he's only contracted for 2017 at this stage.

So we could sign him for 17" and the club can have an option for 18".

It's no coincidence that his form dropped after signing a lengthy deal, 1 or 2 years MAX.

Yep me too, I would be happy at that price. We really need another winger and if he can recapture some of his old form it would be a good deal. Worth the risk in my opinion.
