I just knew on a technical level Alvarez didn't stand a chance against him.

You don't run through Rafael dos Anjos if you're not a good fighter. So much of it is the mental game at this elite level, which is what Connor excels at. But he wasn't gonna get in Diaz's head. I know someone who wins virtually every time he has a punt on UFC fights, and his money was on Alvarez.

What are your guys thoughts on the Cruz vs Garbrandt fight?

Would love to see him win.

Cruz is something special though, but I'd still like to see Cody get up.

I would be very surprised if Whittaker was ever the champion, a quick opponent with fast hands would pick him apart IMO. He seemed a bit sluggish vs Brunson and it was only Brunson's frantic wild punching that let Whittaker off the hook. He does look very strong physically though.
Good luck to him he seems like a decent guy. Had to laugh when the commentator called him Forrest Whittaker (the actor) by accident, not too sure how a cross-eyed bloke would go in the Octagon! And then the other commentator called Whittaker a Kiwi!

Very strong physically, seems very headstrong, has alot of weapons. The 185 division is stacked it won't be easy, but he has to be a contender for future champion. Personally I don't think he gets enough credit.

The talk is that Khabib and Ferguson will be matched up. Who do you reckon wins that one Demps? From the little I have seen of both of them Ferguson has looked more impressive than Khabib IMO. I think Ferguson beats him and his silly hat.

Khabib looks to be pretty wooden and stiff when it comes to the stand-up game though. I reckon Ferguson beats him if he can keep it standing, he is a well rounded striker.

Khabib has been off injured for two years.

He beat a nobody and then he beat Michael Johnson, an up and comer.
Watch his fight verse RDA - Khabib is lethal and he will be prepared for the title shot and won't let it slip.

He is good no doubt but Ferguson gave RDA a beating as well last fight, made it look easy. RDA has lost his last 3 fights hasn't he? Surprised that he has fallen so far so quickly. Wonder if it has anything to do with the foot injury he had that forced the cancellation of his fight with Conor a while back?

RDA imo wasn't that good in the first place.
That division is strong.

Middleweight is looking pretty solid atm too.
Can't see Bisping defending that title too many times.
