Farah quitting is s fact not an opinion. He's the reason we have such a poor captain, in your opinion.

The club got what it wanted, half got rid of Farah and installed the new captain, but it had other choices and if not should not have pressured Farah out of job.

We signed lots of reserve graders and let a couple of first graders walk, so our squad is down on quality. Obviously the hope was that the younger guys would improve to pick up the slack - for whatever reason, this isn't happening.

We beat two underworked teams, and have been comfortably bested since. The draw steps up a bit from here too: we have 9 games before our bye, and 6 of those teams made the 8 last year (the others are Newcastle x2, and the Raiders). Let's revisit at the bye and assess where we're at then. One whole season and 14 rounds should give us a pretty good idea where JT and this squad is taking us.

Maybe we should have let Brooks go and saved Martin Taupau. From what I read Martin took on Sam Burgess and got the better of him last round in a classic struggle.

I had the pleasure of meeting Woods at the after game party at Campbell town,he is a very likable character and if you guys don't think the team respect him,think again…I had first hand observation of how much they do like and respect him...Aaron went out of his way to talk to everybody in the room and went from table to table thanking people for being there...

He will be one of the best captains this club has had and will get better with more confidence within the ranks of captain,remember this is his first year at the helm...

Really? I've seen farah in interviews say it was his decision. At least 6 or 7 times. Disengenous people don't make good Captains either.

Spot on, I was at Sydney Airport and a Telecrap was left on the seat and sure enough….I would never buy one. Shamed I missed by only one day meeting the team at Cambo

The amount of tries we have conceded on the back of an error, penalty or both (the double whammy) has been extraordinary over the first 5 weeks. When you consider that our three losses have been by (1 try, 1 try and penalty kicks) that is so crucial. Our defence has been much improved but when you constantly gift the opposition with possession and field position you are going to eventually pay for it. That is what's happened in our three losses and even in patches in our two wins when the opposition fought back.

It all comes down to concentration, composure and simple discipline. JT has to drill those three words into the team for the rest of the season. No more excuses, our players have played enough footy to stop giving away these stupid penalties and making crucial errors. They do that, they play finals footy.

I would never read the telegraph, but Taupau was certainly one of the best players on the pitch last week. Burgess looked a little shaky, certainly well below his best. Obviously you'd take Burgess given he's a much better player, but on the day Taupau would have taken the points - not that they were particularly up against each other.

re: the no money - we signed several players, which were billed (in club releases) as big additions and examples of the club being on the improve. Grant has looked the part, Aloiai has been promising, but the rest of them haven't been sighted other than poor Rankin running about out of position.
We re-signed plenty of our own too, including such luminaries as Buchanan and Lovett.
We also couldn't hold on to Taupau, so decided to let him go a year early, with the promise that it would help our cap situation this year - though we've yet to see any evidence of such.

We don't have many players signed for next year, and yet we've been stagnant in the market (open since last November). There is money to spend, but it would seem we can't attract players for whatever reason.

The team has lost the last 3 games ,yes I do feel that there is certainly promise with this team but losing is losing no matter what spin you want to put on it.Personally it is time the discipline was soughted this is the coaches domain,watching this team is so frustrating more than not.
I can see the up sides but the stupid repeated indiscretions by the same players need to be addressed the percentage game has to be applied is player 1 worth his spot if the repeated indersrcretions are costing the team a chance of winning a game ,player 2 not quite as good as 1 but has no real indiscretions in his game this is how I would start to look as this it is all about percentages . If the Undisciplined behaviour continues the team will struggle most weeks ..Taylor has to sought this out ASAP this is his job he has to lay down the law with these guys wake up !

Don't know if I am one of the culprits but looking out of my window I am spot on Byron Bay lighthouse, Tallow Bach and up to Brunswick Heads. A beautiful bright sunny day with slight breeze. A little south and inland from here is Grafton jail - any ex players I can visit there?

In your 4 year survey of Farah's captaincy check out win/loss games when he was actually playing and not whole competition, compare with and without him. And if the same I will never open my mouth on here again.

The most senior players in our side with over 500 games experience gave away 5 of the 12 penalties between them as well as turning their back on the opposition who took a quick tap and raced 30m..Rookie mistakes pfffft…

As for the thread title in context they are playing a much better brand of football but continue with ill-discipline until that can be addressed ...it is an in game issue the results will continue to be inconsistent...we are travelling better than some of the sides touted as better than us...we haven't be flogged yet and have been in every game we have lost....have been saying for ages the key is to get our best performances and worst to narrow is the biggest challenge of Taylor and his staff..

We all love stats and this is a cracker Tedesco (7 tries) has scored more than the entire St George Illawarra team (6 tries) in the opening 5 rounds..a team that made the 8 last year..
