Updated Membership Numbers

5702 now according to the counter on the club website, after than delay they only signed up 150 members, why do we struggle so much whilst other clubs can produce much better figures? Sort it out front office.

Play all games at the SFS except one each at the under done suburban grounds and then have 20 k members very simple .Value for money ..good seating…amenities and supporters have same seating every game , at the moment you pay big $$ to sit on the concourse lower seating at Liechardt oval in the weather ect this is not good enough and limited grandstand seating at these grounds.Won,t be to many more seasons of this money talks and the powers to be will make the required decisions to finally break the shackles of the few for the interests of the many.

If im correct we won battle of the west last year and we did have over 10k as members not sure why its different now i thought we should get more members as we are in a new era this year.

Different financial pressures and lets be honest we have a pretty fickle fan base and we were a disaster last year, new coach etc. Plus many a fan are still sooking about losing Ryan and Heighno like they were superstars.

Hopefully we pick up though

2012 our pre season was full of hype, we were being talked up by everyone, so on the back of great expectations our membership flourished.

2013, on the back of a terrible year in 2012 and moderate expectations our numbers are down. A lot of league fans are very fickle, they are quick to jump on a bandwagon and even quicker to jump off.

A good start to the year and they will be locking the gates come mid season, a poor start and you will be sharing the hill with seagulls and the young kids playing touch

Hard we have to move on from Heighno his not going to get any better then he was with us. The only player we should mabe kept was Beau Ryan but its time to move on its a new era new players will be signed this year for the 2014 season it just keeps getting better for the future thats the main thing now.

Man, we were on 5,556 on 13 Jan. Now on 5 Feb we are only 5,702\. That is only about 6 new members every day. 10,000 seems an awful long way away…

I live in Perth and have been an out of towner member for the last few years, before that I was ticket member since about 06/07\. I havent received an email about renewing my membership at all yet. **In fact I dont receive emails or txts at all from the club these days for some reason.**
However, I bought some tickets 2 years ago to see Souths play over here through ticketek and I assume Souths got my emial address from them. Since that day I receive weekly emails from Souths.

I will renew at some stage, just havnt got around to it, but my experience with the marketing depts of these 2 clubs says something to me.

Its the same with the Balmain side of things,Info. flow(including postal) has stopped completely since the Leagues Club closed, older members that are computer challenged ring me to see whats going on and i'm nearly 1000k's away.
The TAB has opened a market on the Knights game,we are $2.35 outsiders if anyone likes a bet.

Don't you think the club has got to earn our money ,both with on and off field results

If you go to a restaurant and get bad service ,dirty plates and wait forever for meals that are overpriced and too small do you keep going back ???

In my opinion the club hasn't earned our money based on what happened in 2012 and I reckon the people who haven't rejoined might be of the same opinion (especially when you are a long distance fan that doesn't reap the same benefits of being a member who lives within 1 hour )

Expecting results and value for our hard earned isn't being fickle , its being realistic Maybe the club is being fickle to think it can keep expecting fans to cough up no matter what

Accountability seems to be an issue again , when you want the same seats and the club upgrades the seating without asking and bumps the prices up The club may say it is due to supply and demand , but the membership numbers at this stage tell another story

I received some letters from the football club last year and pretty sure something from the leagues club.

So the players, club have to earn our money for memberships? So putting in at training and been competitive on the field isn't enough?

So are people saying that if the team isn't successful every year, has a couple of negative stories in the media… then it's time to contemplate whether to sign up as a member?.... Whats the word that goes here... hmmm...

The Knights had a very poor season not that long ago.. (think they ran last) ... they still averaged crowds of over 15k and had a huge increase in members the following year... Whats Wests Tigers (so called) fans excuse? Facebook official page has over 100k likes... yet only 5702 currently signed up as members....

Wests Tigers has the biggest fickle bandwagon in the competition... way under 10k a month out from the start of the competition is pathetic and embaressing. :bash

For people pointing to our form in 2012 as a reason, Parramatta, who's fans have the reputation for being the most fickle, ad a diabolical 2012 and an even worse 2011, have 11005 members, almost double what we have churned out. The club needs to review their membership packages and pricing for next season, the numbers we have put forward are disgraceful.

Look I believe if the club puts on the games I pay for and I get to experience the ebbs and tides of a season from my nice seats I have more then had my financial commitment repaid.

We had a bad season and the club addressed that. I was a member when we were getting pumped week after week at times but I stuck solid because I believe that is what membership is about.

Personal choice though

Well Smeg I don't think a member should have their merchandising group of their club call them a liar after you show them phsyical proof that it is actually the club is the liar and then they do nothing about it

The club is still a service after all and they need to provide us with better service than they do , not take for granted because we love the club we will continue to to fork up our hard earned no matter what

Look I am not familiar with your exact circumstance and it will obviously shape your experience.

My experience has been positive, I have gotten more then what I have paid for from my POV

Staks when the club gets far more from me than I from it (in regards to a membership ) you do think twice about it

If I had done what I was thinking of doing the last two seasons , I wwould of been making a straight donation to the club as in the end I didn't get to any games (in Sydney) due to my business commitments

As I have said previously it costs about $2000 just to get the family down for one game , which if you plan and then have to throw out the window because staff need time off last minute etc

Must be nice to get to watch your team play every second weekend and only have to travel 50-60 kms to watch them play Call me fickle if you like ,but I'm sure if you were in my shoes you might see it the same way

If it is a restaurant that I have been attending for many years, which is a big part of my life and has given me many great memories, then yes, I would go back. One or two bad experiences would not stop me returning. I may decide to express my concerns with the restaurant but would not blacklist it.

Happy, I dont think the context from Staks is directed at Tiger Fans 1500kms away… There are many Tiger Faithful living in Sydney who choose not become members on and off based on the teams performances.

As to you not renewing your membership, it is somewhat understandable, as I too do not feel the Club makes enough effort to recognize Tiger Fans in other states. Maybe in time this will gain a greater focus, but at the moment the club is focused in fixing direct family relationships!

im in the same boat happy. the last few years i got the out of towners package as i live in the northern rivers.the games i wanted to attend were the titans at skilled park as it costs me $1000+ to get the mrs and young fella down there(sydney) for a weekend HOWEVER the club was unable to arrange for the tickets to be used at the titans games for whatever reasons (they didnt provide me with one)
i love my tigers but the city folk get looked after so much better its something the club need to consider when making the packages.
they have not convinced me why i should give them 110 bucks for a hat and a bloody sticker . if they were to guarentee tickets to a broncs or titans game then HELL YEAH IM IN.on top of that i think a majority of our supporters still have a sour taste in their mouths from last year…..give it a win or 2 and that taste will be gone, comparing us to the knights, souths, broncs etc.etc is ridiculous for many reasons....
