Was it just me?

Was it just me or was tedesco a gun on the weekend? He played great in my eyes but others are saying he didn't. Here are some stats and you tell me:

10 runs- 54 m
Saved one 40/20
Sort of try assist putting that tackle on Corey Norman
1 Tackle Break
4 tackles
No missed tackles

for a rookie isn't that good?

Will get better with experience.

54 metres is far from good but it was his first(?) full game at fullback, can only get better

The Broncos kicked to Utai's wing a lot. Teddy didn't actually field too many kicks and when he did, well why wouldn't he throw it to a guy who almost splits the defence on kick returns every time? With a guy like Utai on our wings I don't think you can actually judge our fullback on kick return metres. His work off the ball was really good and he was around the ruck a lot looking for offloads and took a few only to be swatted. He doesn't hit the ball at speed when sneaking round for the offload but at least being there to take it is one better than Moltz. Defensively he was as good as we could hope for and he tries hard. He'll have a breakout match soon and from there it'll be history. Watch.

imo teddy will follow in the footsteps of former great tigers and wests fullbacks such as barnes, jack, brasher, hodgo and dorahy. big call maybe but teddy is the real deal.

Bit disappointed with his line breaks though. He's twisting and turning doesn't seem to be working too well. Might do better against teams like the eels, maybe dogs to?

Looks to be doing his best for a young bloke who has had to step up to the top grade in very difficult times, asked to play out of position on the wing then gets a go in his specialist position at a time when the team is struggling with injuries and form, despite that he is going well imo.

I wouldn't read too much into the metres gained given we had little football and had no go forward apart from Woods. Put him behind a dominant pack and watch his attacking stats then.

I think he is a FB who will back up through the ruck..so if our forwards are ever on top ..look for him in in the middle off the forwards..one day.

Big boy for his age as well is what I liked.

The Moltzen disaster (I really feel for him) may be a blessing in disguise for our full back situation.

Look out. This guy is gonna be a fan favorite!!

Teddy did well . I was a bit frustrated the first few touches as he kept on slipping and lossing his footing.
Like he was on ice.

Molten does a modest job at fullback but one thing i noticed about him was so many covering and try saving tackles 1 on 1 .
There were so many times he chased and chopped the attacking player down all by himself. That much i must credit him cause i have given him bit of flack about his ball running and lack of enthusiasm

I thought Teddy did alright. His metres we're down because largely the Broncos kick chase was pretty good most of the night. Didn't get a lot of chances in attack due to bad field position and turn overs early in the set when we did get position. I thought he looked comfy under the high ball and positional play was alright too. You'd expect him to get better game by game. He's still adjusting to first grade. and of course he's coming back from a serious injury. Will take him time but so far he's doing alright.

When we get Benji and the rest of the casualty ward back we will see Teddy come into his own. For the time being just walking off after 80 mins is good enough for me!

He didnt set the house on fire. But at present I wasnt too unhappy with what Moltz was bringing at fullback, and Teddy didnt do any worse than I would have set the benchmark for Tim at. Minimal time there in FG and a kicking game that kept the pressure on, I dont think he went too bad at all.

Solid game glad to see him at fullback will only get better , feel for Moltz but Teddy owns the fullback spot Moltz will never play that position again if Teddy stays fit.
