Papalii basically said the club wasn't interested in him... Not interested in a player the premiership coach x 3 is interested in

Papali'i was never interested in us infact even admitted to trying to renege on the deal. If players aren't going to buy in then what's the point of keeping them around?

There's still a long way between now & next season. But can people understand the irony of everything that's going on atm? Papali's whole tenure here people kept calling him Blair 2.0 saying his hearts never in it, club moves him on bang "how could we do this?" etc etc etc. People have been complaining about Bateman for weeks he goes back to England bang people blowing up again. People keep going on about signings but don't realise roster spots don't just come for free, the club is actively trying to move on players to give ourselves room to sign players.

Exactly…….no body,we are losing Papali,will lose Stef and looks like we are trying to move on Klem and Bateman..and replace them with the bloody development players….bugger me no wonder we are in the bottom 4 year in year out.Until the CEO can get over himself nothing will change except where he goes on his so called business trips (junkets).

Mate, I've been guilty of blind optimism over the years... But I lost hope for the club years ago and dropped off the forums. I'd still watch every game, but there was something wrong with the club. We got rid of potter without giving him a real chance, same with madge, cleary leaving after pumping us all up to get on the bus... there was a clear problem behind the scenes.

That problem is now gone.

Having distanced myself from the situation over the last couple of years I can honestly say that things are changing. I'm sold. I'm back on the bus.

With any change management process there's going to be decisions that people don't like or wont seem to make sense at the time, but the changew are being made for a bigger cause.

I also am led to believe Galvin is 100% committed and he won't go anywhere. That message from Joey, we should have paid him for it. It resonated more than you can imagine. So if my mail is correct there, I think that there are also other positive players within the club that see this as a challenge and they don't want to just jump ship.

There is alot of belief in the right camps.

I can tell you that Papaali had a bigger reputation than any of those guys when he came here … it’s only your opinion they will do any better here than he did … also listing players that might be available is one thing ,,. But do they actually want to come here ?

It’s like when people death rode the podcasters petition, then there was happiness temporarily.

Richo signed and Luai signed and there was happiness temporarily.

Now the death riding has started on Benji & Richo.

Maybe people just enjoy death riding 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think Stef and Paps are losses, but I also trust Richo will use the big money wisely.

LOL such surface level nonsense.
If fans are complaining about how players are performing, they want something done to improve that players efforts and contributions. They dont want them sacked out of the club with no replacement.

We all love Robbie, he's part of the Tigers Fabric. But that doesn't make him a qualified assistant coach. If we compare to what Bellamy is doing in Melbourne and how Ryles has been under his wing for a while, these assistants have earnt their stripes. Robbie hasn't earnt his stripes as a coach yet. If he's serious about it, he'll start in the lower grades, work his way up and bounce back from this. Love ya Robbie.

We have 3 gun halves for 2025. Luai, Galvin and Fainu. When have we ever had this luxury? Never, not Marshall and Prince.

Our outside backs are "good enough" for 2025, one more signing wouldn't go astray though.
Our forward pack is another thing all together and we 100% need to sign at least 2 players, including resigning Pole. But we cant talk to players until after the season and there arent many on the open market right now. So sit tight.

Its as bad as its going to get this year. The only way is up.

Hang in fellow tiger fans, we will be competing again in no time (not this year though).

We have no idea what is going on with Bateman ..supposedly he is back next year so he may as well be just having a holiday ..seems an absolutely crazy decision …unless there is an agreement with Burgess that he will remain over there …probably still cost the Tigers plenty though

With Ice… it would be hard to argue that he has lived up to expections … but do you think he MIGHT have improved playing outside Luia next year ? And he was an adequate NRL forward .., they could be in short supply next year …so to let one go without an obvious replacement seems short sighted …and now we living in hope one will fall into Richo clutches …

Thats all well and good and if it all works out, then great.
At this stage Im looking at a tonne of experience walking out the door, bugger all mentors remaining and a bunch of over hyped kids talking fantasy. We have very poor coaching staff, are mocked mercilessly in the media and are the butt of jokes with our peers throughout the whole Rugby League world.
I for one got a bit excited when Api, Klem, Bateman and Papalii were signed along with decent players in Naden and Staines. They are about to win their second spoon in a row. I will not believe the hype until I see our squad actually turn a corner. They have yet to do so, in fact this current squad is on track to be our worst ever defensive side - and their attack sucks as well.
We are years and years away.....
