We are in the stats, why are we 2/5?

He bought backups and has never given them a go.
If we are 5 games into the season, and can't come up with at least 3 players in our reserves, either because of ability of Cap. Then kiss this year good by.
I thought we had a top squad of 25.

Here is some more "stats".

We are currently sitting 11th on the ladder. Two points outside the 8.

We are currently 5th on the ladder in points scored.

We have three players in the top 10 try scorers, including the leading scorer. ( Teddy ).

I agree that with a bit of luck and some decent refereeing, we could have been 5 from 5\. If we can beat the Knights on the weekend we could be equal 7th. Not the end of the world.

Lighten up.

The problem is those stats plaster over many of our inefficiencies in defence Col

Funny how he didn't mention anything defence related  .

We are coming 4th in most points scored against us…...but that's not important we have 3 players in the Top 10 try scores and Teddy leading the way, do they give us extra Competition Points for it ? surely it's gotta count for something

No, the important thing is we are going ok. If you would like a new coach, I believe that the Roosters may have one available.

I think this shows we rely on individuals…. There is minimal teamwork compared to other teams and a glaring lack of structure

Going O.K we might be…..but also the fact is we have lost 3 games on the trot .

You make it sound like we have a Top 8 Squad and if that's what you think we are headed come end of the year ? then i give you kudos for your positivity .

I never said i wanted a new Coach :unamused: , i'm happy for him to see out the year but if we finish the year anywhere between 13th-16th ? then he should be sacked at Seasons end.

That's what i was talking to my mate about Today , he said if you guys didn't get Teddy back on the field on Saturday there was no chance you would of even hit the front vs the Sharks and he is a Titans supporter .

Ah! a fortune teller. What are the lotto numbers this week?

we are 2/5 because we lack concentration and our bench rotation needs improvement.

I was never worried about the Titans loss, but our concentration and lack of playing direct was a concern against the Eels.

The Sharks didnt win on Saturday, we lost. But the Sharks really exposed us in that second half by showing we lack concentration and our discipline followed.

Apart from adjustments to our left side and going back to having 3 props on the bench, we dont need to change much.

Considering Teddy set up our first, scored our second after we were 0-6….your mate knows his stuff, doesnt really take a fortune teller to work that out though ...just common sense

Knows his stuff . It's like you said don't have to be a rocket scientist to know just how much we rely on Teddy these Days.
Just hope we leave something in our Cap for him cause there will be some big offers coming his way.

Where do we sign, Robinson would be a huge upgrade on what we have, a bloke without the nuts to pick a team on form, and without a clue how to set a game plan and run a bench rotation.
He has no idea of our over all problems, let alone how to fix them, because he has been here since October 2014 and we are still making the same mistakes every week :brick:

There are a few exceptions however i feel players make coaches rather then the other way round.

Now Trent Robinson might be fantastic. Every time I here him speak he is balanced and extremely impressive.

However the facts remain without his star players this year he cant win a game, a single game.

Changing the coach might help things a little but ultimately we need a few better players, that would help more then changing the coach.

Whilst on some stats we look great on others we are terrible

Being an ex statsman the key ones we use to look for are effort related stats & time of penalties/errors

We lose our cool when things go against us, we dont play composed and revert to the game plan - we defer straight away.

Things like huddles and team packs happened in the first 2 rounds, since then havent happened at the back after the other team scores.

We lack leadership out their and the halves must step up and run the ship, or at least start showing signs they can.

Problem is we don't have any serial winners.

Guys like Foran, Beau Scott they are senior players who are serial winners and they elevate their team straight away. Their presence.

Our senior guys have lost more then they have won so even if are providing leadership it might not be the best.

I Know Halatau and Farah won a comp, but it was in their rookie season!

Instead of buying 5 or 6 fringe players one year we should just bite the bullet and buy 1 player that just lifts the place. I know its a money thing hopefully next season we can see this.

This team is not 1 million miles Away probably just 1/2 tough winners but they dont come cheap.

Can you imagine the meltdown by the Taylor haters if we were 0 - 5?

Yet some ( if not all ) would be ok with a coach who has exactly those stats. Go figure.
