We took Manly lightly: Tedesco

We have all made the mistake of taking a situation lightly and coming off second best. Tedesco is only 22 many 22 year olds take situation's lightly.
Someone should have noticed the lack of intensity at training and rectified the situation. I was listening to MMM and Gallen said if the Cronulla team was not training well he took it upon himself to speak to the players and led by example. Who is our leader?

I think teddy would like to have worded that differently,I think his inexperience in the media is the issue here, because there is no way this team would be taking any game lightly..SURELY.

Good for the culture though. It's a teachable moment for Taylor. Drop the intensity at training and get embarrassed on the weekend.

Let's not delude our selves. Our team is full of kids. I watched Lodge last night slow right down before being tackled. I saw Nofo confused in defence. I saw Brooks get lost. I saw Santi have a tantrum after being smacked by mason then lose the ball. We saw Woods learn some of the difference between being a player and a be captain.

All things that you see in a team of kids. We need to stick with it and grow in experience.

Please…s*** like above happens every day.
It's called life.
Ooooh mayer quit too.. thru the week..can they use that one too?
How about it was very cold?
No excuses.....This is pathetic
pist off

Actually that's a valid point, forgot about Mayer leaving.

Tough week indeed. I'm not gonna have a big sook on a forum over them losing a game under the conditions of having their coach lose his best mate among other things. You're taking this sport a bit too seriously.

I don't see the point in whinging at all to be honest. It doesn't make a single iota of difference at the end of the day. We lost to a better team on the night, the end.

But it is Willow

Its our mindset , our lack of accountability , everything we get angry about

And they just can't seem to get it right

Oh great more excuses….no bludging with woods and farah there.
ARE YOU FOR REAL????
please!

yaah..woods doesn't train half arsed and wouldn't expect others to do that either

as JT said, preparation was the key and no one is saying it's not the coach's or the players' fault- but there are other factors that influence this as well

Again I ask the question, what difference does our whinging make? It is merely a means for people to vent their frustrations, nothing more more.

Yes and it's the s*** like this that would usually spur any mature and professional team on to win - and win well, but alas we fall apart like a bunch of school boys.

i doubt whatever we say on here ever makes any difference.. if the website wasn't slow last night, i would've vented my frustrations big time lol

You're right Willow it doesn't make any difference at all to them, but it helps us to get our frustrations out, instead of having them swirling around in our minds all day. It also helps us to know that we're not alone in our disappointment with this team.

Glad youre happy with them being mediocre, taking other teams lightly.
I know many have grown accustomed and now accept average as the norm.

They took manly lightly.
End result was in manly's favour.
Will a lesson be learned from this?
had a lead against bulldogs, lost in golden point.
Had a lead against the raiders and lost.

If you under estimate the opposition, they have a knack of " pulling down " your pants and embarrassing you" That's what happened last night.
If the situation was reversed, do you think manly in sitting 13th on the ladder, would at any time would have taken opposition sitting in 16 lightly?
I doubt it.

Had their opportunities but were not good enough on the night to win. Rest is just a smokescreen. We are still a fair way off a top 8 side!

I'm very sorry

But how can this side afford to take anyone lightly ??

Really pissed off with this comment

Me too. Did they really think that one good performance was going to help them win the week later? Really????

This young side has so much to learn.

It seems to me that there are some huge egos around the place ….Monday morning a blown up league ladder highlighting the position of the team on all the walls ,if it were me on every wall in the building including the crapper.

I completely agree with Innsanienk.

The excuses are laughable.

Seems had our fans are not fussed either. Oh why bother whinging. Oh Taylor's mate died so ill give them a pass mark. Robbie was away. Boo Hoo.

No wonder the club is going no where. Players going through the motions and fans accepting mediocrity.
