West Tigers Vs Newcastle Nits *live* discussion thread

@Geo No one seems to have commented on the fact that Lino ran as an escort for Ponga which denied Marsters a clear chance to compete. The bunker were clear in their assessment that it WAS a fair contest so they may have simply decided to play advantage to The Tigers given that Lino would have been penalised had we not scored. Well, that's my 2 cents - but yep, I couldn't give a rats how Bwaith's poofa valves are going!

No knock on Farah , but weren't we a different side with Benji not trying to engage the line and just offering fast clean service .....we just rolled up the field ...and the Knights are a big pack

Absolutely.

Our other moments of looking really fast and slick this season were with Liddle on.

Not knocking Robbie and his heart, but his style of game and Brooks have never clicked together.

Agree, and I thought that Lino was partly responsible for Ponga not getting a clear shot at the ball. He was too close.

@Tigerdave I get where you are coming from but the boys CANNOT relax for a minute. We have seen in the past what happens when they relax.

I think you've missed the point, by the last game Sunday arvo, the finals may be decided before the kick off for our game.

The pressure will be off for this game, which may open things up a bit in attack.

I'm keen to see how Brooks controls the game with Benji not partnering him.

I dunno I prefer when they share the game controlling myself..

Where’s all the Benji haters today there quick to call for retirement with a bad pass not to much credit when he controls a game

Yeah Lino contributed I thought. The commentators just kept banging on about Marsters not having eyes for the ball. Not sure he needed them given he wasn't trying to catch it, he was just trying to get his hand in there and make it go backwards. Ponga was showing him where the ball was going and when by his positioning and the timing of his jump...

Garner ran some fantastic lines, Rowdy obviously imparting his wisdom to the kid. If he keeps that up week in week out he'll be a fine player for us.

Not just that, when grub put a kick thru at dummy half he was held back by lino, blatant penalty

Watching the game a second time I noticed that Ponga basically submitted in nearly every tackle. Almost Mitchell Moses like. Maybe reading too much into it but I’m half inclined to suggest he wasn’t having a dig??

Funny you should say that.
Apparently it's Isaac Moses pulling strings in the background that has caused all this.
The Knights recruitment manager that has back doored brownie and met with O'Brien is an old mate of Moses
O'Brien is also managed by Moses.
Also there were some strange recruitments this year which also happened to come from Moses stable.
Looks like Moses has stuffed another club.

Yes sadly we may have left our run too late. Now we not only have to win both games but also still rely on the results of other games to go our way to make it. If only we’d won the game against the Bulldogs - only 2 points in it after lots of disruption losing both Farah and Mbye and a bad kicking day!

The way I calculate it on the ladder predictor we can drop a game and still make the 8. IF the roosters beat Panthers next week
Thanks to a big points differential between us and the Panthers.
Maybe someone can check that.

Not correct - Donkeys are 1 point ahead of us, so we need to win the next 2 games and they need to lose 1.

You are right.
I don't know what's going on with the ladder predictor. It's giving me false hope.
We have to win two and death ride the Broncos.

Cronulla are not home - if they lose to the raiders and we beat saints then its a do or die for both sides at Leichhardt.

Wow! This Isaac Moses seems bad news.

Between his role in the “big four” saga and other stories that seem to frequently pop up about him I would hope our club now has an internal policy in regard to limiting his influence in terms of his player representation at the club or even not dealing with him at all.
