It is a big deal - the guy played at every level of the game and was named in the Wests Magpies Team of the Century. Pretty poor form to get his name wrong.
Thanks to those who responded to my post about the spelling of Peter Dimond in the sign behind the group at the presentation of the $700k. I loved him as a player and always made it my business as a kid to run on the ground at Pratten Park after a game and pat him on the back. I will make it my business to write to the Wests club and point it out to them.
I hope you do and give them a kick where they deserve it,i come from the Balmain side of the club but nothing annoys me more than when players names are not spelt correctly by officials from our club.It is inexcusable

Anyway, to actually respond to your post. For the longest time I have had no issue with the Magpies being the reserve grade side and actually voiced my support on the topic.
Recently I have changed my opinion on this as I still don't have a preference on the topic but it appears that the majority of supporters would like to see the branding unified.

Never read this thread so it started from the start, that's all. I use the latest posts function. Didn't go digging through your posts if that's what you're thinking. I also dont know why you think there is an obligation for me to comment on a thumbs up? I just simply agreed with what you said. I honestly think WT should be through all grades, but equally don't care if it's the Magpies in the lower grades if it makes people happy.
