I would think it wouldn't be too much to align all the home games with WT's Reserves.
The Maggies could essentially play for free… Only thing is they wouldn't generate any money from ticket sales or
catering... Which isn't really a step in the right direction either.
We need to get the Maggies up and running in thier own right again, If they are ever to return to NSW cup.
@smeghead said:Realistically I dont think we will see NSW Cup within the next five years as I truly believe we will work towards a national reserve Grade competition
@smeghead said:That was the arrangement with Concord Burwood United this season.
Limited access to players though in 2012 considering the players held back for NRL and thus NSW Cup having to hold back players just in case required. Maybe under a new coach it will improve but the biggest factor is injury

Then split them between both sides Smeg
We should be encouraging the Wests venture into Bundy Cup , not hindering it and turning it into the Magpies 2012 NSW Cup debacle
From a Wests supporters view (and which should of been a Wests Tigers view also ) that was embarassing and tragic for the club as a whole
We need to learn from the past mistakes
PS What I just said isn't a reason for a Wests v Balmain stink either PLEASE :brick:
@batboy said:Of course it is…
The reality of the Situation is: (For whatever reason) Magpies lost thier major sponsor (Wests Ashfield)
If the Football club can get the brand up and marketable again (At ground level) And Nab a few "Local" Sponsors...
They will have no problems competing again... There's enough talent around to do it.
Shannon Gallant
Rocky Trimarchi
Stuart Flanagan - All playing group 6
Michael Crockett - Playing at the gong.
(Maybe they can even coax Kevvie Mc out of retirement...)
For the right money, there are plenty of quality players to choose from.
Without getting too much into it, (And starting a free for all)
I really feel the Magpies have died off from relying on the past to get them by.. A smarter idea would have been investing time, efforts and resources into building a solid foundation to ensure this didn't happen.
I am (And have been quite vocal) in my opinions about the progression of WT's.... But there is no reason the Magpies can't be a local power unto thier own, With a cult following to rival Newtown... They just have to do it properly!! Build the club (And it's fan base) Back up.
I have never wished harm to the club, And I still believe that a uniform WT's (at leagues club levels also) is the future... But there is no reason the Magpies can't still exist at a reasonable level in the West.

Initial Financial Grant provided by Ashfield.
Search is on for new coach and players for 2013 season.
Home ground(s) yet to be determined. Team may play as curtain raiser with WT NSW cup games at stand alone Campbelltown days.

Keeps the Magpies Club alive and provides a senior rep side for the South West of Sydney
So yeah, Sounds ok to me???
